It's all Jon Sargents Fault

It's just dawned on me that this whole up roar with the final 3 is Jon Sargents fault. Let me explain.

Traditonally SCD have always had 3 celebrities in the final (apart from last year when Kelly Brook pulled out due to her dad dying and the show not replacing her). With Jon Sargent bowing out and him not being replaced, this meant the final would only consist of the 2 couples.

Don't blame the BBC they did what was right and fare IMO, blame the Sargent!

.....and the year before with tarby.

Considering the BBC have had two years of finals with just two you think that someone might just have been able to work out a plan to have three in the final...i.e if someone goes/walks/pulls out then just have no-one leaving that week.

Or just blame John.....or not.

Beebs fault, not John's.

They had one two person final which wasn't as great as it should have been as they were both overloaded with too many dancers to perform to fill the time a third person would have done.

They didn't learn and the same thing happened the very next year.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on the BBC.

They have, through no planning on their part, avoided the same thing this year. But have caused even more moaning than had John been in the final.

It's not his fault. It's their's.

Oh for goodness sake - leave the poor man alone and at least spell his flaming name right!

The only people to blame for the mess are the BBC. I also still believe that they were responsible for John leaving as well.

Utter rubbish, as better posters than me have already explained.

Even with 4 contestants in the semi-final, if there had been a 3 way tie for first place then the the celeb propping up the leader board with 1 point could not have been saved from the dance off by the public........all Saturday did was expose a flawed elimination process........basically as long as all bar one contestant are tied for first place then the contestant with one point can never be saved........it does`t make any difference whether there are 3..4...5...6.or 100 competitors....it`s all about the maths.

eg

.........judge........puplic
w..........4pts..........1pt.....5pts
x............4pts..........2pts...6pts
y............4pts..........3pts...7pts
z............1pt............4pts...5pts

contestant z...the maximum number of points is 5 and can therefor not be saved from the dance off.

Not this one again! Leave the guy alone.

The BBC/judges clearly rigged the scores on Saturday to maintain a 3 couple final. So many people on this forum have been demanding a 3 couple final since the departure of John Sergeant and that's exactly what you've got, so get over it!

The trouble is they went about it the wrong way! What the BBC should've done IMHO was have last Saturday's show as a dance only week with no voting. They could've included a few 'best of' highlights instead of the useless ramblings on from the judges. Instead, some numpty at BBC thought, "I know ... if 2 couples tie, then let's just tell the public we're going to have a rollover like on the lottery" ... a few tea and biscuits later the sheep follow and agree.

Own up BBC - it was a bad mistake!

Until now, there's been more two person finals than three person finals. So it's not been "traditional" to have three person finals so much as it's been the "default setting" that's not quite turned out.

I'm just amazed it's taken this long for someone to blame JS!

(I hear he masterminded the collapse of the sub-prime market in the States, you know.....)

Isn't it funny that the people who complained about John being in the competition and wanted him to leave are now blaming him for this issue and saying that he shouldn't have quit?
You can't possibly blame him for all this as it was the BBC's fault. If they had just given Lisa and Rachel two points instead of three none of this would have happened.

I would put the blame squarely at the judges feet, not dear old Johns.

That has now been proved to be correct, as Camilla has now quit the show, also criticising the judges for being to cruel.

I have asked the mods to do something about this but nothing has happened, probably because he hasn't actually done anything against the rules.

Hehe, I was on the verge of reporting him too - then I tried to figure out what to report him under. Unfortunately nothing sprang out at me, so it seems we just have to let him spam away and then hopefully the spammage in itself will be reason enough.
