There is a good article in todays Mail, it is an interview with the parents of Jade and ourselves, I think they have got it just about right (there's a suprise) for those that have been following our threads, this may explain a little more how we feel/felt etc, and there is more to come concerning other matters, "watch this space" as they say.

I am scanning the article. It's two full pages and I will need to reorganize it a bit. Whoever wants a copy please pm me for the link.

I did see the article today and from what was written C4 certainly seemed to be very underhand, but hey what's new?

I'm not a legal person but I would love to have a look at the contracts that these youngsters signed. There have been threads over on GD about youngsters and the age of responsiblity regarding sexual intercourse. The whole situation regarding this episode reinforces my belief that young people still need some sensible guidance even when they are 18 and classified in law as *adults*.

I wonder how much independent advice the contestants received before signing their contracts. If anything, new contestants should make sure that they don't take Endemol/Channel 4 promises at face value. They seem to put their own interests before considerations about the rights and welfare of contestants.

Maybe that's why they seem to gravitate towards contestants who may be perceived as a bit lacking in the mental faculties department? Anyone with any common sense knows that their contracts will require you to waive any and all rights whilst in the house.

What I want to know is why was that ugly kid with the appallingly bad skinhead unable to speak properly? He struck me as a bit pathetic really. Poor boy.

Then there's the girl with whom he copulated, what's up with her? She treated him like a rapist or something. After all she did invite him into her bed.

All in all, I was surprised at how immensely immature some of this lot were.

It seems they have done the same in this 'Find Me A Man' programme too, only on a far more devoius & nasty scale. God help the poor 'contestants' afterwards!

Just before Miriam's secret was revealed, they were asked to sign consent forms saying they were happy for the show to be screened, according to Broadcast magazine.

I don't know if you have realized as you have "just joined" this forum... but posters here try to have a sensible argument beyond the mere insulting approach you seem to favour. IMHO your post is neither intelligent nor witty.

I suggest you read this before posting if you don't want to be banned from this forum.

Your link has no relevance to my opinion. Therefore I really have no idea why you are threatening me.

I assume you have been somewhere else during the last two days and you haven't noticed the warning from moderators in relation to this topic after the tone and content of some posts last week.

If you have any problem with these measures, please address Neil Wilkes with your queries.

Are you saying that because Tommy's family purportedly post here, that all negative discussion should be banned? As far as I see there was no attack on his family or a dispute with another party in the post. There is quite a quantity of posts like this in various forums in DS. People have the right to post their views whether you like them or not, so long as they're not libelous of course.

Everybody is entitled to post their opinions if their posts follow the guidelines for the forum.

In this particular matter, after problems caused by some disruptive posts last week, Neil made a clear appeal to members of this forum to avoid any comments of a personal nature.

It's not with me you should discuss this matter. I was only reminding people to use their own discretion to avoid problems. End of it.

I would love to see the contracts too. In my view there is a responsibility for those close to the people (victims) to advise them before they went in. If I were close to Tommy or Jade, I would have sat them down and went over the consequences with them. It's not as if BB is new. People should know what to expect.

The contestants in find me a man are actually suing Endemol for deceiving them the way they did, they are trying to get the programme banned, even some of the production crew involved feel terrible for the deciet, they said if the programme is aired they do not want their names on the credit.

The 'she acted liked he'd raped her, she invited him into bed' thing got me, maybe it was just the way I read it but it was an unfortunate choice of words in my opinion.

The poster also seemed to imply that a particular housemate had a disability and they weren't being particularly positive about it as far as I could see.

Just my opinion.

No Tamara, I haven't been anywhere - I even sent you a private message yesterday

I'm fully aware of what the moderators posted, I just failed to see the relevance of it in regards to what Psychonaut posted and wondered why you brought it up.

Surely the best thing to do if you're chosen to go on a programme like Big Brother is to make sure you don't do something that would show you up as a fool if it were to be broadcast on television?

Take Sunita in BB3 for example. After a couple of days seeing what her housemates were like and probably guessing the tone that particular series was going to take, she left the house quietly and ended up doing no harm to her career.

perhaps comments made about other people, no matter who they are, should be ignored, or its just going to go round and round again ending in arguments, I am sure the people who the comments are being made about are not that concerned really, its just a shame that a perfectly good thread can be spoiled.

Edna,

I just saw your pm. Unfortunately given I have been warned about copyright issues, I am not in a position to supply the link anymore.

As for the Psychonaut post... his use of words and tone for a first poster were unfortunate. Given that already some posts have been deleted in this thread, showing some caution when posting is advisable, but that's just my opinion.
