Off-topic, but the only thing I find offensive about that is the fact everyone seems to be treating a transsexual person as some sort of a freak.

No difference between wooing or kissing her than wooing or kissing any other woman

Absolutely, If she paid any attention to me I'd be flattered and if I then found out the truth I'd still be flattered, what's the problem?

Pretty is pretty!

I dont think its that they are treating a transexual as a freak, the 6 contestants were upset they were mislead, the winner did not accept the prize of £10,000 and a week spent on a luxury yacht with Miriam, he said he would not have minded if they had been told at the beginning that Miriam was really a man, they just feel like they have been duped, and people will laugh at them

If we don't comment about other people, these forums could end up totally banal. So long as you're polite, I find healthy debate is an important aspect of the forums. How has the thread been spoiled?

People would laugh at them?? How old was the winner?

Jeez. I'd have taken the prize!

My mates could laugh all they liked, they do anyway, big deal!

Wouldn't that be the same case in "The Pilot Show"?

People were mislead when they agree to take part and the final purpose was that people will laugh at them.

I am not aware of anyone suing that program and a lot of well known people took part on it.

I think at the bottom of the problem with "All About Miriam" is a case of male pride and nothing else.

I totaly agree, as long as your polite and dont use bad language and purposely hurt peoples feelings you can enter into a good debate, about the thread being spoilt, I may have worded that wrong, I did not mean this thread, but some have had to be locked or removed as the insults just got so bad and really bad insults were being thrown back and forth, there is no need for that kind of thing

Give me £10,000 and a week on a luxury yacht and people could laugh as much as they wanted

they were all grown men, the report I read in the papers said they all have high profile jobs and were worried their collegues would laugh at them when they found out they have been duped like they had.

For the record, Psychonaut's post is acceptable as far as the warning goes. As Neil said, "To make it clear: discussion of Teen BB is still permitted, although the issues of Tommy's family and any personal disputes between either parties are not."

Beth.

Beth.
But if somebody gets makes very negative personal comments about Tommy's appearance, and intelligence,.....then surely that confuses the issue.

As Tommy is part of Tommy's family too.

(Not saying what I think is right or wrong...just saying that the definition about what and who can be spoken about is a bit blurred)

What I want to know is why was that ugly kid with the appallingly bad skinhead unable to speak properly? He struck me as a bit pathetic really. Poor boy.

Then there's the girl with whom he copulated, what's up with her? She treated him like a rapist or something. After all she did invite him into her bed.

All in all, I was surprised at how immensely immature some of this lot were.
Yea like we would fall for this

I'm fully aware of what the moderators posted, I just failed to see the relevance of it in regards to what Psychonaut posted and wondered why you brought it up.

That's all
You wondered why?? geez, that say;s alot so you find it acceptable to call someone deformed and of having a disability even when they haven't?

Do you not realise how offensive that is to the INNOCENT person concerned, moreover, do you not realise how disgusting it is to GENUINE disabled people?

I will not be discussing the content of any website I run or any other issue with you or any member of Tommy Wright's family on this forum.

Please refer to the general forum guidelines on behaviour and this this post in particular.

So you don't think his remarks were personal? or that it was a poster we know who is just here to cause trouble!! So ignoring the warning on two counts

I have to say Beth, I find that decision a bit odd. I think the words were carefully chosen, and have more to do with ego and a newsgroup than the actual housemates they are speaking of.

The forum members here include Tommys brother and father. I dont think I would be as polite as they have been at a post using carefully chosen vindictive words.

I was actually quite critical of Tommy during the show. I suppose I had him down as to be treated as guilty until proven innocent.

But he turned out to be a decent guy and he passed all my prejudice tests and I ended up liking him.
