JBL On Stage II
CanonMan

Could someone provide me with some info on the following

Does this Unit work with the iPod Touch 2 Gen ?

Is a suitable dock insert included

Does it have a permanant mains connection ?

Will it charge the iPod Touch. The info on this unit states that you have to plug a iPod mains adapter into the unit to get it to charge. So that means 2 mains cables ?

Any info much appreciated

All you need to know, including downloadable manuals here...

Does look as though it takes any iPod. Though the charging arrangement does appear rather weird. The specs mention it's mains powered but also state that to charge the iPod you need an iPod charger. So it does look like you need two mains sockets to run the thing. Surely it is not beyond the wit of JBL to include a charger circuit in the unit?

It's the best budget model, but if money is no object then definitely check out the Bose Sounddock Portable - Clarity and fidelity is so good you will not get better.

Thanks for the swift reply. I know there is an issue with certain speaker docks that don't charge the 2nd Gen iPod touches
