Just wondering if anyone has used the assisted GPS function on a Nokia phone?

How good is it?

What features do you get when you subscribe ?

assisted gps is jut like normal gps except it use a very brief data connection to do a couple of things that speed up getting a fast accurate lock.

are you asking about how good the sat nav is or the other functions that rely on A-GPS

I was wondering if you could use it to walk around a city - does it have detailed street maps on it?

ok so you're asking about the sat nav.

it's pretty good yes. understand that the sat nav application is called nokia maps, these days it comes with a 90 day trial, for turn by turn navigation, you can see where you are for free. there are other options to this, such as google maps that provides an aerial photo or map. or other full sat nav options.

your position is generally accurate to a couple of meters
