I was just going to start a thread but saw this one. As well as the above, I have heard rumours of:

Franz Ferdinand (I think they've self confirmed this)
Lily Allen
Depeche Mode (I hope!)
White Lies (ditto)
Keane
Metallica
Led Zeppelin (doubt it)
Madonna! (very much doubt it)

Neil Young and Blur are confirmed, aren't they? They ask Neil Young every time and he's turned them down but this time it's just fallen right. One of the greatest artists of all-time.

I'm not really interested in Blur or Bruce Springsteen and I've never heard any Neil Young to be honest. But I suppose there's more to Glasto than who's headlining.

Glastonbury have officially confirmed Franz Ferdinand!!

Also in the mix I think are:

The Ting Tings
Rolf Harris
Blur
Bruce Springsteen
Madness
Neil Young
BB King
Keane
Kaiser Chiefs
Lily Allen
Kanye West
Bloc Party
Fatboy Slim
Lightning Seeds
Vampire Weekend

Also hoping Maximo Park will play!

I wouldn't bet on Madonna playing - looking very unlikely now!

that line up would be far too 'old' Blur and Springsteen would be good, but is anyone really that interested in Neil Young? they'd go for a more more modern band like the Killers again rather than have 3 old headliners.

you can't write Madonna off entirely either, after all they did book Kylie the other year, and she is restarting her world tour in July, and she definitely needs a 'big' gig to reignite interest in her music.

I see Tom Jones is going on about wanting to play Glasto. God I hope he doesn't, I can't stand him. But then I supposed there's lots of other things to do instead of watching the old pensioner trying to look sexy on stage.

I know a strong rumour, Beyonce will perform there. She was amazed at the concert after attending her husband Jay-z performed there last year.

does she? no 1 album across the world, most successful tour? all this because she bombed with last single....?

another rumour was the pet shop boys but nothing confirmed from them as yet.

Ah, 2 of my 3 all time fave bands!! Unfortunately I doubt either will Muse are in the studio writing/recording their 5th album,(I think in Italy at Matt's) so probably too busy, and also seeing as they did V last year I highly doubt it...
I had heard rumours of Radiohead, but apparently not lol...serious shame!

The slot I'm really interested in is the Sunday teatime 'veteran's' slot. I guess that as Rolf Harris is confirmed, it will go to him, or maybe Madness or Tom Jones. BB King would have been good there, but he's playing Wembley that night (which is where I'll be!)

I reckon Roger McGuinn may possibly play it. I don't even know if he is rumoured to play, but he has Glasto weekend free in his tour schedule, and he will be perfect for the Sunday singalong slot.

Harvey Goldsmith has confirmed that there'll be some separate standalone stadium dates for Bruce this summer - just waiting for the announcement, but plans are obviously taking a little longer - or they've had to wait for the festivals to be announced.

Looking forward to watching Bruce on the TV - it's going to be a real highlight - but then when doesn't Bruce put 200% into a show.
