Help required with putting music on Sandisk Sansa Clip

Hope someone can enlighten me....I am trying to put some music on my newly acquired aforementioned player, and on my pc, I have compiled my own albums such as fast music, slow music, soul, easy listening etc etc, but when I transfer them on to the player, they are all jumbled up. I want them to be on the player in the order I put them together, has anybody got any ideas.

I have tried dragging, cutting & pasting, synchronising with Media player, but they still all mix up

No, they are fine, the tracks jumble when transferred to the player.

Thanks, I have had a look at Sandisks help page but still didn't find much to help me out. So frustrating, I didn't have a problem with previous player, but unfortunately, I let my son borrow it.....and he promptly lost it! Hopefully somebody might be able to help

I've never tried playlists on my Sansa Clip , but this posting sounds like it might be what you are looking for.

Hope so anyway!

I'm having a similar problem. I bought a Clip and can't sort out how to transfer music.

All the music on my computer is arranged in folders named as the album.

If I drag and drop the folders into the Music folder on the Clip, when I unplug the USB cable, the clip display says 'updating database'.

However, when I try to play the music, it only shows one album called 'Unknown', and all the tracks are in this album.

How can I get it to display the folder names and allow me to select the track that I want?

8Gb of music is a lot of tracks to scroll through to find the one I want.

John.

I've discovered that, if I create playlists using Vista and then sync'ing with Clip, all is OK and the album titles appear in the Playlists.

However, if I use Windows XP, all the tracks appear in an album called 'Unknown', Strange!!

Odd. My mum bought one and even she's able to just drag and drop albums which show up with album titles in the menu. You transferring them via WMP or drag n drop?
