Why not vote for the best dancer?

Its as simple as this. I prefer watching T&C they make me smile, their performances are magical.

Rachel and Vincent are dull and Lisa and Brendan piss me off.

In my eyes they are all equally as good as eachother. I take no notice of how the judges mark. It doesn't effect me at all.

To me Tom is the best.
His salsa was the most enjoyable dance of the night. The only one that would make me take up dancing and think I've been missing something.

The others were just ........*shrugs shoulders*

Because I enjoy Tom and Lisa's dancing more. I guess 'best dancer' is (that word again) subjective.

I did! 11 votes for Rachel.

Will maybe vote for Tom if Rachel goes out third.

I was just about to post that. They had a whole series of middle-aged women going on about how they wanted Tom to win because he was "sexy". Nothing to do with him being the best dancer which of course he isn't.

I've voted for the best dancer.....Rachel.

Tom was clearly not the best in the judges eyes, but why wasn't Lisa marked down for her stumble which I and several other posters saw. Clearly not the best at the foxtrots, but better at the latin! A viewppoint that others hold.

If I was voting on music then the Paul Weller song wins hands down, may not be the best muscial performance if critiqued by judges but it floats my boat

For me Tom communicates the pure joy of dancing and because of that I can't wait to see his showdance, but as I said in an earlier post, people apply different criteria in deciding who to vote for and I wouldn't dream of telling them that they were wrong.

I can forsee that if Tom wins tonight a LOT of threads are going to emerge stating he didn't deserve to win, because Lisa and Rachel are better dancers. But if the public vote makes him our champion then surely that makes it as fair as it could possibly be? That is the essence of Strictly after all. Besides, he is a fantastic dancer anyway! Look at every year of strictly, I don't think we can claim that anyone has won before based purely on dance ability. Last year if Alesha had been quiet and reserved she wouldn't have won. If Goughie hadn't been so endering, he wouldn't have won. Strictly is about personalities as much as it is dance, and people are going to vote for infectious personalities. But no matter who wins tonight it will be tremendous: Tom, Rachel and Lisa are all lovely people and they are all amazingly talented dancers. At this stage in the competition, whoever scores the most 10s on the night doesn't matter. IMO, all three are good enough to win. People should vote for whoever they enjoy the most - and they may not be the best technical dancers.

*shrug*

(Forgive me if that made no sense, I've had quite a large sugar intake this evening and my minds moving faster than my fingers.)

Agreed 100% but there are so many sad people out there who think that being plucky and keen should be rewarded more than being good.
