Does anyone else think the MALE celebrity has a harder job than the female?

I think it depends who the male is. If it's someone who is prepared to let himself go and really give it his all, his pro dancer will give him all the support he needs to be good.

Maybe having to lead and lift makes a bit harder, but I'm sure the girls have their problems too.

I think it is sometimes harder for a man to lead but women do have to keep their frame perfect too and it is harder to arch your back for a long time rather than standing straight. In the latin I think it is harder for the man in a way, only to let go. BUT it is much harder in SCD for a woman to take part as it is harder for her to get votes.

Welll I completely agree with you It would surely be to the good of SCD if we had Gethin & Alesha last year (or Matt if you were a Matt fan) and Tom & Rachel this year. I would have been a very happy bunny both years. I wish the BBC would consider this seriously.

I don't think having two winners would be good for the show. The whole fun of it is to see which partnership makes the viewers want to vote.

I accept that BUT Jill and Alesha are both in a league of their own in the dancing and personality stakes, and I just think it would be better to have seperate winner apart from being double the fun.

We will never know if Gethin would have beaten Alesha because the judges couldnt risk it so they made sure it wouldnt happen. As a huge Gethin fan I wanted him in the final but I wasnt sure it was right for him to beat Alesha, she probably would still have won BUT we dont know for sure and that would have made my argument stronger.

But in Strictly, one person always stands out and they win. That is what makes SCD so magical and I wouldn't want that to change. For example the male winner might outshine the female winner totally, that wouldn't be right! What if the second place male winner is ten times better than the female winner?

It's so unlikely, the other way round is more probable. Darren Gough springs into mind.
