I didn't see it that way.

That went through my mind too!

We should recognise Bruce's style of humour by now. Of course it was meant as a joke! Anyway, if John is such an attention seeker, he would never have left the show. Seems the poor man can't win with some people.

He had the wrong feed from the producer. Producer OUT! Time to face the music. And so uncalled for. Is John a participant in this series or must he be airbrushed out of history?

John rocks Brucie sucks. Well Brucie can't chew anything anymore. Like Higgins John was the people's champion.

I think Bruce was just stressed. Time was running out and he wanted to hurry everything along in time for the winners to have their say. You could hear him earlier saying 'Oh, who was that? Thanks a lot!' Like someone had knocked him over or something. So I think he was just lost in all the hustle and bustle and he wanted to create some order, to end the series properly. John was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Bruce snapped a bit, like you do when you are stressed.

That is EXACTLY as it was... I thought it was quite funny... shame that other posters couldn't see the joke for what it actually was, even John laughed if you replay the section. Stop taking everything so seriously

Crikey. Some people are so naive. Scary how different people can see the same event in such contrasting ways.

My take on the 'event': Brucie was genuinely annoyed and angry with John. Bruce is actually capable of doing a harmless and funny one-liner. This wasn't one of them.

In Bruce's defence he probably had the director shouting in his earpiece to finish off the show. I didn't see it as a 'joke'. Just look at Bruce's face and the tone of his voice.

John's reaction was basically... "WTF?"...

Totally agree. John looked like he didn't know what the hell he'd done!

I don't know what the hell he'd done! This show has got the knives out for John for whatever reason.....!

So what the people that ACTUALLY PAID to vote liked his style. This whole series has been one of those 'cluster thingies' and they lost me the day John was bullied off the show. The whole pantomine should be quitely shelved like Brucie and the judges it's way past its sell by date.

Yes I think that was behind it. He's never been on It Takes Two and of course it was him leaving early which was the catalyst for last week's cock-up for which Bruce was forced to apologise earlier in the evening.

Spot on, definitely not a joke. John was quite taken aback.

And the way Craig couldn't let it go on ITT last night, they sure are sore about the fall-out and rightly so, it's the judges who must take the blame for the bad vibes on this series. Time for a mass extinction for next series?

I thought it was a Brucie joke at first because John said he might have won it. Now I squint at the video, though John was smiling, doesn't look like Brucie was!

Bruce was angry with John Sergeant because he knew what Mr Sergeant was up to. He had pulled his partner to the front so that he could get maximum exposure/publicity.

Why can't people see through this guy? He has been dealing with politicians for decades; he is no innocent!

He wanted maximum coverage for himself (he is now making a fortune out of all this). Bruce saw this happening and was riled by this manipulating and scheming little man. Well done Bruce!

I find that moment really awkward to watch and I normally love Bruce - it seems as if SCD has closed ranks and is determined to make John look bad over this thing - even on ITT on Friday Craig could not resit a dig at his dancing and Bruno - spiteful as ever "who needs Austin" even Claudia stopped him at that point

I loved watching John and Kristina

The way I saw it was that John gestured Kristina forward in order to pretend to lift the trophy. Meant as a joke of course but Bruce was probably getting impatient at that point .

I thought the end terribly rushed which was a shame after a great entertaining final.
I was annoyed at Bruce for interrupting Camilla with a silly joke when she was thanking her parents ....... I wish he'd let others speak and have their moment - I remember he spoilt Stephanie's thanks to Vincent last year in a similar way .

Don't use that stupid word "bullied". Do you really understand what that word means and have you ever actually been bullied yourself?

Bruce was clearly joking because it looked like John was walking towards the trophy as if he was going to be presented it. I don't think Bruce was angry with John at all, like I said it was a joke.

Oh for goodness sake - it was a JOKE. I suspect they even worked it out before hand as they know there might be a need for a little light relief.

I also think he called Brendan Brenda deliberately!!!!!!

I don't know about the FM you aimed this at but I have been bullied and I know it when I see it. John was bullied. It can take many forms and happens in all walks of life.

It was one of the low lights of the show for me when he left. The judges were a disgrace when it came to him. I wonder who the BBC will invite to take part next year just so they can use them as cannon fodder?

Brucie was only making a quip, not being serious at all.
It was lovely to see John and Kristina doing their paso again.

I personally saw it as a Brucie joke. A bit misplaced possibly but I'm sure it was meant as a joke. Lighten up.
