WALTZ - Matt di Angelo (40)
No, Alesha's was much better

QUICKSTEP - Lisa Snowdon (40)
No, much preferred Colin's

TANGO - Rachel Stevens (39)
Yes, this was one of my favourite dances on SCD, and definitely my fave tango.

FOXTROT - Rachel Stevens/Lisa Snowdon (40)
Hmmm, not sure whether Rachel's was the deserved record holder, but of these 2 I preferred it. Others were just as good, though.

VIENNESE - Alesha Dixon (38)
Yes, definitely.

SMOOTH - Gethin Jones (38)
I'm in the "can't remember it" brigade. Sorry Liked Colin's, though.

CHA CHA - Lisa Snowdon (40)
Absolutely not, Louisa or Alesha for me.

RUMBA - Rachel Stevens (39)
Yes, it was fantastic.

JIVE - Jill Halfpenny (40)
Yes, agree with this one too, although I have seen it too much now, so getting a bit fed up.

PASO DOBLE - Austin Healey (38)
No, hated this.

SAMBA - Zoe Ball (38)
Not too sure, but as no others particularly come to mind I'll give her this!

SALSA - Mark Ramprakash (40)
Yes, great performance.

ARGENTINE - Mark Ramprakash/Rachel Stevens (39)
As mintchocchip says, both were fab but Rachel just has the edge for me.

WALTZ - Matt di Angelo

There was nothing wrong with it but to say I was shocked it got 40 was an understatement. I prefered Alesha's.

QUICKSTEP - Lisa Snowdon

Again, very good but it totally didn't wow me. I loved Denise Lewis, Goughie's and Colin Jackson's QS more.

TANGO - Rachel Stevens

Definitely preferred Zoe Ball's. I even preferred Patsy Palmer's performance more. I did enjoy it though.

FOXTROT - Rachel Stevens/Lisa Snowdon

It's rare that I enjoy this dance. Strictly is littered with the broken bodies of Foxtrot victims. I did like both Rachel and Lisa's dances, probably Lisa's more, but I preferred Cherie's in terms of performance.

VIENNESE WALTZ - Alesha Dixon

There have been some good un's over the years but I think Alesha deserved it. Also liked Kelly, Gethin's and Ramps' VW.

SMOOTH - Gethin Jones

Loved it, but think Colin Jackson is the smooth king!

CHA CHA - Lisa Snowdon

I wasn't that impressed with Lisa's dance. In terms of impact Alesha wins hands down. That said (and at the risk of 'burn the heretic' cries) I thought Alesha's overrated too!

RUMBA - Rachel Stevens

It would be joint for me with Colin Jackson, but if I had to choose I would give it to Rachel.

JIVE - Jill Halfpenny

A no brainer. Louisa was fab too, but Jill is untouchable in this dance.

PASO DOBLE - Austin Healey

I want to say yes...but...it was the equivalent of a 3 minute fumble under the duvet. It had the drama and the passion, and so little content! I liked Jill's Paso, I loved Ramps' paso (would have had it first if the capework had been spot on) and both Letitia and Goughie had a pretty good stab at it.

SAMBA - Zoe Ball

A reluctant yes. I say reluctant because much as I loved it, her long legs didn't really lend itself to the dance and it looked a trifle ungainly. Performance was excellant, but I also think both Aled Jones and Ramps were very good. In fact kudos to Ramps because his was the only male samba on Strictly I have seen that didn't look remotely camp!

SALSA - Mark Ramprakash

There have been a few decent Salsa's now but I don't think this one can be topped for performance and timing. Along with Jill's Jive this is really the only dance awarded 40 that I think deserved that score.

ARGENTINE - Mark Ramprakash/Rachel Stevens

Difficult choice in the sense that one was a breathtaking technical masterpiece and the other a sensual overload. Hmm...head or heart? The heart wins each time for me, and I give it to Ramps because the music, performance, lighting and dancing all came together perfectly. For all that it suited the dance better I actually thought Rachel's music didn't quite work. Also, Rachel had Vincent to help her whereas Karen had to learn the dance along with Mark!

Possibly the best dance never to have got 40.

WALTZ - Matt di Angelo (40)
No way. It was very good but I totally agree with THG about it being a huge sympathy vote from the week before from the judges. Austin's from Week 1 this year was technically brilliant and better than Matt. Alesha's waltz was amazing in terms of choreography, music, emotion. In fact there are several who deserve this record more.
QUICKSTEP - Lisa Snowdon (40)
The first time round - fairly terrible. The second performance - massive improvement and it really was good but not the best. I loved Alesha's but the record should prob be Colin Jackson's.
TANGO - Rachel Stevens (39)
Obviously technically excellent but I really loved Zoe's, even now I remember it so well and her performance was brilliant. So Zoe for me.
FOXTROT - Rachel Stevens/Lisa Snowdon (40)
Rachel's was good but for me, just a little bit D-U-L-L Having started to learn this dance myself, Lisa's is the one I keep going back to and it really was so good. A lot of this is down to the music choice and the truly great choreography from Brendan, but she danced it beautifully. I wasn't much of a fan of Lisa but I have to say this is one record I feel she deserves.
VIENNESE - Alesha Dixon (38)
Definitely for me. Many VWs are a bit same-y and not very interesting - this for me was beautiful and spell-binding. Emotional performance from Alesha and hats off to Matthew for the choreography.
SMOOTH - Gethin Jones (38)
I can't remember it but to be honest, I can't remember many AS! The only one that sticks in the mind is Kelly and Brendan's, she really looked like a Hollywood starlet and she could really dance "smooth" I was annoyed about the lift at the time, they should have this record by a country mile.
CHA CHA - Lisa Snowdon (40)
Not in a billion years. It was a decent effort but NEVER a 40! There are many that are equal to this, but as someone else said, I can't really think of any that are technically brilliant AND a great performance so I will go for Alesha's as it is the one dance that everyone knows, her performance was huge, despite a few technical imperfections. To be honest it deserves the record just for Matthew's hips
RUMBA - Rachel Stevens (39)
She really got it technically spot on. Personally I preferred Cherie's from this season but that is just personal taste really. Colin's was good as well, definitely the best male rumba. Rachel or Colin - they can share it
JIVE - Jill Halfpenny (40)
er...... no contest! Yes Louisa was great in terms of energy but really there is no one to touch Jill for technique and sharpness in the Jive.
PASO DOBLE - Austin Healey (38)
Well, it was definitely memorable! But only cos he walked on in spotlights and shouted Ole, and everyone sniggered.... the rest of the dance was not outstanding. So not for me........... shame there have not been many great pasos! I remember Letitia's being a bit of a breakthrough for her. But I can't think of a really amazing one. I'm stuck!
SAMBA - Zoe Ball (38)
This was a great dance, but I can't believe there haven't been any good ones since then?? Been racking my brains and I haven't come up with anything yet.... So yeah, give it to Zoe.
SALSA - Mark Ramprakash (40)
Matt diA should have this. I didn't like him much but his salsa was brilliant.
ARGENTINE - Mark Ramprakash/Rachel Stevens (39)
oooooh tricky one. Mark got the brooding look rather well... but for me I think Rachel should have this. I know she was at an advantage in having Vincent as a partner, but the choreography was so difficult, and she still pulled it off with style.

So now I am off to find some decent Paso's and Samba's
