Gethin was a very good looking guy and had a charm about him, he was always going to do well IMO. As was James.
Im not knocking Camilla i really like her i just think shes been the most lucky professional when it comes to celeb partners. Although i do think the fact shes the tallest lady is the reason why she gets them rather then the producers favouring her.

I've just had a horrible image of the future where Anton leaves and Brian is cast in the role of 'old dears' friend'

Anyway, I've been so impressed by Brian this series I'd like to see him fight it out at the top next time. Imagine a Brian AT and a Brian showdance...

Aw he was so good, a victim of not being particularly well known methinks (did he DO anything in Corrie?).

Worked at the garage and kissed Debra Stephenson's character! How could you not remember ?!

I just can't get Brian, sorry. Maybe he's too young. Not that James Jordan is old, he's just not, boyish.

The other thing I am kind of thinking is I'd like to see Kristina, Flavia and Lilia all have decent partners, but the chances of the Beeb finding three male contenders under 5'10'' are so slim, that one of them is going to be unlucky! So I would rank them very firmly as

1. Kristina- most deserving after the JS debacle
2. Lilia
3. Flavia

Although maybe we will be lucky and Richard Hammond, Mark Owen and Gino d'Acampo will all be available!”

I love him, he'd be amazing! In fact I'd stick him with Kristina or Flavia! Talking of chefs, James Tanner would do nicely too!

Don't excite me at this time of the day!

Id love to see her with a Colin, Austin or Tom type who is a natural dancer. She has the best choreography IMO so would be fab.”

Totally agree, Lilia worked wonders with Darren Gough and Matt Dawson, who were quite frankly duds! I'd love to see her with someone who was naturally good to begin with. Same with Kristina.

As for the others, I think Ola's been unlucky with partners. Spoony was probably the only one with potential. Whether she'll be a good enough teacher/choreographer to go all the way is another matter.

Matt C, as much as I'd like him to stay on my screen for as long as possible, has had two good partners in a row.

I would say Anton too. He's had more than his fair share of duds. I think Lesley Garrett was his best partner but having said that I saw an old clip of them dancing the other day and it did look rather erractic! I would like to see him get a bit further in the competition though with someone reasonably good though as someone has said I think his Latin would let him down.

I'd like to see Brian with a good partner next year. His latin routines are fantastic, i would love to see him partnered with someone good with lots of confidence which I think Heather sadly lacked this series. Also, I think Kristina would be fantastic with a decent partner though I wonder if she'd be able to tone the routine down so it isn't all about her and she can best demonstrate her partner's strengths?

In terms of how long he lasted. He was a flop. I think they left in week 6 or something. Thats teh earliest Camilla has left bar the first series and she even got the godawful forget your steps Dickinson into week 2

He wasn't a flop, he was touted in week one as the one to beat. He was an unfortunate casualty to Peter Schmeichel's popularity in a week when he had a tricky dance; the week before he left though he got 35/40, so I can't really see how he could be called a flop!

Slightly subjective as Anton and Ola are sort of up there in terms of getting raw deals, but in my opinion they just aren't strong enough to do justice to a good partner anyway.

Who's in line for a dud: Camilla, Matt, Brendan.”

I agree with everything you've said except I'd quite like to see Ian with a talented partner too..just because I'd like to see what he'd pull out choreographically.

I agree with you about Anton and Ola too but....would like to see Anton with someone who might have potential in ballroom e.g. a less flexible Cherie perhaps.

I'd like to see Ola with a guy who might not be a ballroom dancer but could have potential in latin. So someone more her height and younger. I'd say the same for James as well tbh.

(I thought James and Ola's dance in the final was fab and it would be good if they got the chance to use/share that energy with a celeb partner.)

He came 8th out of 14 couples so it's better than half-way!

I'd have to put Gino with Flavia I think- two Italians together, and Flavia's used to dealing with Italian men!

Trying to think of tall attractive British women who've been popular or semi popular or semi successful for Ian and all I'm coming up with is Michelle Ryan. We surely must have more.

Three - Carol Smillie finished in 5th place, same as Christine.

I'm sure Kristina will have no difficulty toning her routines down and playing to her partner's strengths as that's exactly what she did with John. He was never going to be able to do a decent fast latin dance, so she slowed them down (samba), filled them with basic steps (chacha) or went for a borderline comedy routine (paso) etc. And their waltz and AS was very commendable. Considering what she had to work with (an overweight 64 year old man) I think she did a marvellous job, and I'm sure she'll be fantastic with a Ramps/Tom Chambers type.

The idea of Grace Jones just popped into my head
