RDR-HXD995 Can I record radio channels (using GUIDEplus+)
Kingers
22-12-2008
Hi, I've recently bought a HXD995 and have set it up to use GUIDEplus+ for the EPG. I've been using the guide to set various recordings and they've worked fine but there's no EPG data for radio channels so I can't use the one-click red button to record from them.
Is this just the way it is? Or can I somehow make the radio EPG data be downloaded?

Thanks,
Kingers

Guideplus only supports certain Tv channels(though new ones are constantly added).
However radio channels,are not included,unfortunately.
Radio will have to be recorded, set manually.
You do have the option of setting daily/weekly recordings manually.

Thanks very much TV DUNIYA.
I guess I'll stick to using my other PVR for radio recordings.

Unless perhaps if I changed to use the other EPG on the HXD995 maybe that would have the radio schedule.
But if I change the setup will I lose any timers set and if I try it and change back do I have to wait a day for the schedule to populate itself again?
I'm not sure what EPG the other option uses but if I have a chance when the film recording season is over I'll give it a try.

Thanks again for the response.

You will lose all timers when you switch from Guideplus to the Digital epg.
It will probably take 24 hours for the Guideplus epg info to download fully, after switching,as you will have to do guided setup again.
If you set the host channel to Manual rather than Automatic,I've found the epg listings download quicker.
