I don't know if you managed to see the repeat of the jonathan ross show - if you have ignore this
here is a basic synopsis of what was said with the emphasis on basic
Dermot look gorgeous in a very nice suit with a breast cancer ribbon - gorgeous and nice - what a combo.
He was there to publicise his new show Born to win which is a reality hybrid with sports people competing in various events - it sounds a bit like the games on channel 4 really - but i haven't seen it yet. Its on BBC1 on sat night.
Jonathan asked him about the sas programme - he is making two more. One based in the artic and one in borneo and he will be filming this from this month onwards.
Jonathan said he was a rising star and young talent. Dermot said he choose the programmes he did carefully and he had to like them before he would do them.
Jonathan then asked him about BBLB and showed a clip of dermot dancing. Dermot said this was his favourite programme because he could put his own personality into it. He said he gives them all a perp talk before they start each show.
Jonthan then said bb4 was perceived as a flop - dermot skirted around the issue a bit and then said there were no characters on the show that you either loved or hated and that the contestants on the show were much more intelligent this year - jonathan rejected this and said something along the lines of if they were that intelligent why did they apply for big brother..
Jonathan then gave him a hard time about teen bb and showing sex on the screen saying it was exploiting them.
Dermot was squirming a bit at this stage and started saying it was an educational programme - which Jr laughed at - and then JR took the mickey out of his body language which was obviously showing him to be uncomfortable with the subject matter. Dermot made the point that they were 18 and adults and knew what they were doing.
JR finished up by saying what a talent dermot was again.
Dermot didn't mention his new show he was supposed to be doing which is a reality show where people have to stay up all week.
The interview was good although i thought it was a bit unfair for dermot to have to defend BB and Teen BB when he was not responsible for the editing - however if i was Jr , of course i would have asked the same questions - it makes good TV.
Ant + Dec have in the past critcised pop idol and survived - perhaps endemol aren't as forgiving
