It's a tough choice! Either "no more fake Sunday results show" or "no more 16 couples".

As a thread this was quite fun, but as a poll, well it's totally biased to the OP's prejudices. There's no way you can get a clear idea of what people want. Nearly everything is negative, very few positive suggestions to be found anywhere. Bit of a disappointment.

more tickets for the public, even if it means a bigger studio even out of London (sorry - if i get tickets its dead local for me!)
(although if going off that list Id say more tickets for the public and less for Zelebs).
The Mods already set up this poll before this supplementary wish was sent to them, but postings in this thread will be sent to BBC management, so views on venue will not go to waste.

After 5 years parts of the format become stale and over-predictable, and a change of backdrop could refresh the show. There is a lot of Britain outside Shepherds Bush, and the SCD Tour has already proven itself a huge moneyspinner in northern cities, namely

Newcastle
Manchester
Nottingham
Sheffield
London Millennium Dome
Glasgow
Birmingham

Blackpool the HQ of ballroom dancing has already been used for an SCD Final with huge success. Those who have attended at the various venues can tell us if regular or occasional SCD visits nationwide would be a good idea.

I found 16 couples too many, so I voted for that, but I also want to see the back of the dance-off from the two dances stage.

The issues listed are stock complaints familiar to forum regulars. 500 voters between them could have 193 different preferences, but in the real world BBC will likely bin a referendum with 193 multiple choices.

In a democracy the majority view carries the day. Unlike Santa though, the Beeb would likely take note of more than one wish. After SCD6 reform looks a necessity not a luxury.

Only problem with that is that you can't vote while in the studio (no phones allowed)

Refreshing the judges got my vote - Len and quite possibly Arlene need to go if nothing else and replacing the judges would stop the over-marking and favouristism that plagued this series. The elimination of the dance-off was a close second - although I'd be more in favour of it's modification to lowest scoring dances or elimination in the later stages - it's there it really starts to cause problems.

NO MORE DANCE OFF.

In the later rounds it means your vote is more or less meaningless if your couple is near the bottom or at the bottom. No more agony of that kind for next year please.

I love the dance off. It makes sure that the best of the worse stays another week.

I think you need to do more campaigning, unless the amount of voters is... less than I expected? It's my 1st vote, sorry.

No more judges votes as I think they have caused so much trouble this year with so many couples getting the same marks (e.g. the semi and now I hear in the Christmas Special). I think they have grown too big for their boots°°!!!!!!!! LOL. The show is not about them and yet they felt it was professional to go on various programmes encouraging the public not to vote for John and Kistina as (in the judges opinion) it was a DANCE competition not an ENTERTAINMENT show etc and the public were too stupid to understand that point. They have caused a lot of confusion and have made very nasty comments which encourage the voters to support John. If the final decision is left up to the viewers why not have that voting system every week and just let the Judges make comments, not score the couples? They should also be told by the BBC that they cannot appear on various programmes criticising the contestants. AND no more very old contestants as it is just not fair.

I wanted to choose about 8 options; it was very, very difficult to decide which single one to go for

I nearly chose the "no more 16 couples" option because there were far too many contestants this year but then I realised if that wish were to be granted we might end up with more than 16 couples instead of less! It needed to be "no more than 12 couples." (Or perhaps 13, so we have a spare in case someone withdraws but that would still be for a 10-week series and if no one withdrew there would have to be a double elimination in the semi-final.)

On the website Strictly Come Dancing is an Entertainment and Comedy genre and it's format is Talent Show.

The easy solution is to replace the judges. It's not as if they don't have other things to do... though I'm not exactly sure what else Arlene does.
