Definitely more Kristina and Brian AND a "closure" (apologies for using the jargon) ITT with Claudia after the final

I love the dance off. It makes sure that the best of the worse stays another week.
Errr, hardly! Penny v Gabby & Austin v Lisa are just 2 cases where I can think that that certainly wasn't the outcome

Hard, hard choice, but went for part replacement of judges. Personally getting rid of Len would be a damn good start, they can keep Craig. Even getting rid of "Ask Len" would actually be a start, come to think of it... Overpaid, rude to fellow judges, getting highly repetitive and dee you double ell dull.

Runners up would be the return of Nicole (I watched the tour DVD yesterday and realised how much I miss her, though I do think getting new blood in is good - I like B&K - do think that Karen and Matthew make a good couple... but I really miss the lovely and talented Nicole) and not dragging the show out for such a long time. It wasn't so much the 16 couples (though I think it is too many - it was hard to keep track of them all, 14 was bad enough), it's the sheer length of the series: couple of double evictions or something so that by the end of the series (as always before) it is leaving the viewer wanting more rather than going "Oh thank goodness it is FINALLY finished". I don't like feeling that way about my favourite show!

Scrapping the dance off in the final stages also IMO would be a good idea. I'm not sold either way on whether it makes SCD better or worse - it has saved dancers I like and also dancers I don't like, so it seems churlish to whine too much. It's hard to say how results would have changed without it as it has clearly changed voting patterns.

Fake result show doesn't bother me. Would love to see a bigger venue with more of Joe Public getting a look in to balance out all the celebs there to "be seen".

No more dance off.

I'd like to add a few wishes of my own though

I would just like to make a stance for having a dance off in the first few weeks please. Sometimes the one I want to go in the first few weeks and the judges save ends up being the one I love.

I could have easily voted for several options, but I'd love it if Kristina and Brian returned next year. These two have been my highlight this year in what's been a pretty disappointing series.

Cmrxx, Thank you for your good point.

This would be the first attempt by audience grassroots to highlight areas of quantified concern to the BBC. However, Strictly is the flagship of a multimillionpound business in 41 countries, and detailed decisions properly remain with the BBC. Hopefully if in future they want to sound out ideas in detail they will remember this forum wants to help.

Dance-off, couples number, judges, pro dancers etc can easily be subdivided as 20 more wishes but the result would be self-defeating fragmentation, as the forum will disagree sending out an unclear message, and the Beeb will probably say come back when you agree.

As it is, large numbers of voters show themselves to be in agreement on several issues, including the dance-off. Somewhere there is an optimum number of wishes for the first attempt, and I hope 15 is not too far off -- 15 is hard enough to choose from.

There are a few wishes I would make from that list .
However , I have never felt the BBC have tried to pass off the Sunday results show as live .
Not once have they said it was live , but as with any recorded programme of that ilk it has to seem to be of the moment .

I voted for no more 16 couples and would go so far as to say 12 is enough . I think that was the major factor in making SCD6 less enjoyable
I do prefer the Saturday results , though the spoiler threads are fun ; I would wish to bring back the Saturday results.

I would probably get rid of the dance off .

If any of the judges are to be replaced they should be replaced with judges with some dance knowledge , not just odds and sods from the entertainment world . of the ilk of Ruthie Henshall and John Barrowman . karen/and or Brendan would be a good addition .

I would add to the wish list : Prevent Bruno and Len from Atlantic hopping each week; they have to choose . .

There are quite a few to choose from but for me no more Sunday Result Show. I'd rather watch the results on the night.

No dance off or Judges vote.
Bring back Kristina and Brian.

No more ridiculous dance-offs, the judges awarding points for technique and performance to shake things up a bit, the return of the wonderful Kristina and finally, for Anton to be paired up with an elegant Cherie-type contestant.

That's great - no point in having the poll if nothing is done with it. Best of luck!

There are several on this list I'd choose but my pet hate isn't on the list. No more overmarking which ruined this series for me. Thank goodness for Craig, although even he got carried away at times.

I don't mind the judges, but I think they're given too much power too late in the series - ie they should have less say over who goes by the time it gets down to the last five. It's too easy for them to vote through the people they like, even if the public obviously don't.

And I'd love to either get rid of, or at least put some kind of gag on Len!

And can we also go back to everyone doing the same dance every week. As some dances always score higher than others, so it's another way for someone to have a bad week / bad dance and get kicked out when they shouldn't.

What makes you think that if it had been down to public vote alone any of them would have got to stay.

A bit late voting on this , but mine would be none of the above.

My one wish would be that Alesha became professional and partnered Matthew Cutler forever

Post-SCD6 Audience Poll - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=958284

Dear BBC,

Attached the link for an online poll conducted in Digital Spy Strictly Come Dancing Forum on issues regularly debated in the forum, with one person one vote, 23-30 December 2008. Our Forum contains probably the most committed and knowledgeable SCD fans who have no other wish than an ever more enjoyable Strictly each year.

While voting on serious concerns raised by SCD6, this poll is far from being criticism only, witness the warm applause for the BBC’s decision to bring over Kristina and Brian – well done the BBC !

As much as i completely agree with you that there should be no-more dnace offs..
as at times the judges can be COMPLETELY biased,
I think they should have dance offs up until the quatre-final week,
Therefore, excellent dancers dont go out early in the series, due to lack of public support..
Becuase im afraid, one day if we dont have dance offs, we will all regret it and really want them back..

But thats just my view on it, but we shall see what happens, personally im more worried about which pros are staying and which are going, as im really worried for my faves! (Matthew, Erin, Ian, Camilla, Darren + Lillia) personally, i want all the pros to stay as they are, and i hope the beeb dont make any stupid mistakes! Because the pros have as much of a fan base as the celebs do.. perhaps more? and some of the pros more than others.. but i doubt its going to happen so we shall have to just wait and see! :S

106 voters have used up their precious single wish to send a very strong signal that their paramount concern is with the dance-off. But how would the forum have divided over the alternatives?

No more dance-off, as proven in SCD1-4 and DWTS,
Stop dance-off at the Last 3,
Stop dance-off at the Last 4,
Stop dance-off at the Last 5,
Stop dance-off at the Last 6,
Stop dance-off at the Last 7,
..... etc
Stop dance-off at the Last 12.

There is no experience of the 10 new scenarios, and guessing will be the order of the day. If to be scrupulously fair to all views, 25 wishes were offered for choice instead of 15, I fear the forum will appear hopelessly fragmented, with no indication whether every voter will fight her corner to the death -- no change unless it is my choice. The Beeb could justifiably ask, can any two of you agree? The judges will laugh. If we are divided, they will conquer.

As it is the forum has united behind the strong signal that the dance-off has to change. Detailed implementation of change properly belongs with the Beeb, and I doubt they will accept dictation from this forum. No decision will please everybody -- hopefully aiming for the greatest happiness of the greatest number.
