Doggies lol everyone always says that, but if Diana loves dogs as much as me, I think she would look after really well, she could take it on tours with her

No, he's more of a Strictly fan. Prefers that theme tune.

Not going to go on, but saying she wants a dog for Christmas in an interview no less is stupid and irresponsible.

Why is it stupid and irresponsible? is it agaists the law for Diana to say she wants a dog or something?

No but I suppose the whole pet for christmas thing has become a problem. After Christmas they just get thrown out.

Yeah I know some people do that and it really irrates me but that doesn't mean Diana will do that.

Ok. The point is that various animal organisations have spent years campaigning to make people realise that pets are not suitable Christmas presents and should not be given as such, because it belittles the responsibility that is taking on a pet.

To say that she wants a dog for Christmas is to indicate that she feels it is ok to give give a dog as Christmas present. This is wrong. It has nothing to do with it being Diana who said it. If I had seen that headline about anyone I would have made the same comment.

I never said she would mistreat the dog. She even acknowledged that she most likely does not have time to care for one properly. My point was especially as someone in the public eye it was a silly thing to say.

But she could buy a dog in January, Feb ect so what's the difference? getting a dog for Xmas is great, she probably wont get one anyway, unless like I said she might take it everywhere with her like some celebs do (Sharon, Cheryl ect) I don't think it was a silly thing to say, if she wants a dog, then she should get one, who wouldn't want a doggie

The difference is that she would not be sanctioning the giving of pets as Christmas gifts.

I never said it was silly to say she wants one I said it was silly to say she wants one as a Christmas present.
I am not sure how to be any clearer about my point. IT was purely the "As a Christmas present" part I have a problem with.

She can have 1 of mine... one of them wakes up at 7 every morning and the other one does nothing except lay there and growl if you go near it!

This just show's her mental age and the total lack of grasp for the amount of time dog ownership takes up!
