Silly made up headlines

This is the article:

STRICTLY Come Dancing judges are facing the boot as part of a major new look for the show.

BBC bosses are organising a shake-up of the voting system to avoid any more fiascos like this year’s semi-final scandal.

One possibility is that the judges will pass verdicts on the dancers but not score them.

Only the viewers will decide who stays or goes.

Last night a show spokeswoman said: “No decisions have yet been made about future series.

“We’ve only just finished this year’s.

“Planning for Strictly series seven will start next year and, as always, we will look at lots of ways to ensure that the show is the best it can possibly be.”

And a peer waded into the Strictly Come Dancing “fiasco” yesterday, vowing to use Freedom of Information laws to expose the true result of the semi-final.

Furious Liberal Democrat peer Lord Tyler said: “Technology is available at the BBC’s disposal to ensure licence-payers know just how many votes each contestant got.”

It has also been revealed dance rivals Tom Chambers and Rachel Stevens are set for a rematch.

Millions of fans were left fuming when the ex-S Club babe failed to win the final and her Holby City rival waltzed away with the title.

Angry TV viewers claim Tom, 31, and dance partner Camilla Dallerup, 34, should never have been in the final after the vote fiasco, and that Rachel, 30, was the better dancer.

The pair are taking part in a Strictly Christmas Day Special on BBC One at 7pm and only the TV studio audience will vote.

Also taking part are finalist Lisa Snowdon, 37, former winners Alesha Dixon, 30, and Jill Halfpenny, 33, and last year’s contestant Kelly Brook, 29, who left the show after the death of her dad.

A source said: “The Christmas Day contest could mean that Rachel gets what she deserves and be crowned the Strictly champion. It’s going to be a tough fight.”

they are peerless in their lazy journalism

so "possibly" this may happen or "maybe" that might happen

and as for spinning the Xmas special as a Tom and Rachel rematchas if was a direct result of the final - ffs

Funny that seeing as far more viewers voted for Tom than for Rachel, not just in the final but throughout the series.

How much is the betting that they make sure the studio audience is heavily weighted against Tom?

"A source said" means its made up. An ex-entertainment columnist said they used this term when they had to fill columns with rubbish
Oh yes and the comment about Rachel, why is it assumed that everybody wanted her to win - I used to glaze over when she came on.

Personally I think the BBC will be looking at everything, and if they are that paranoid about voting problems that they stop and re-film a Christmas Special then I am not at all sure there WILL be a Strictly next year for the judges (whoever they may be) to judge. If its back then I do think there will be an overhaul which will include the judges.

Of course there will be a show next year. Did you see Saturdays ratings? The question will be is the format getting tired? and what are the flaws. The voting system being an obvious one.

After 6 seasons of the same hosts, judges and set I think that a new voting system should be brought in with a revamp - This time last year I wouldn't stuck up for Bruce, Tess and the judges - this time round I can't help thinking whether we need a fresher and more glamourous/ epic format. A major overhaul and a complete new look.

i think they should keep the same format however when it gets to the top 5 have no dance off and just let the public decide. Its only when its down to 5 or 6 couples that you can have problems with the voting.
Then again i would also quite like to see a proffesional on the judging panel, maybe someone like Karen as i think she would be quite honest and fair.

The Beano is a more credible paper than the Daily Star. This is all a load of rubbish lifted from these forums in order to sell newspapers.

Yes...this was arranged on December 26th 2007 and finalised 11 days ago.

The Daily Star - at the front of new flashes....or some kind of flashing anyway.

hope none of the judges are axed...i know there's alot of negativity about them atm but apart from len and poss bruno giving out too many 10s, i think they've been fine.
and it would be a bad idea if the judges were to stop scoring also IMO.

but yeh, probs not true .
