It's different for men. They can put their 'snake' into any woman and really only need to pay money to the mum to help bring up the child. In other words their career won't be affected by having a family.

A woman becomes pregnant. Then has to bring the child up. That seriously would halt any womans career.

Alexandra is a very sensible woman.

It isn't, because non of the boys in JLS can get pregnant.

I know that but if they had said that woman are a waste of space and our only good for making babies it would be deemed sexist..

Did she say they are only good as sperm doners or for sex??? That would be a sexist comment IMO.

She said they were a waste of space.

I think Alex's choice of words shows her lack of experience with the media, she needs to be a bit more careful.

JLS are more down to earth, I wish they had won, and really hope they get a good deal, away from Cowell, otherwise they will be put on the back burner for a year.

It's not about her not do anything wrong, of course she isn't perfect, but it's competey different for a women then it is for a guy. Alex is an adult, I think she knows what she is doing. At the end of the day, her music carrer is a lot more imoprant then having a quicky with some guy who will be probably only interestead in her for her money anyway and the fact the is now famous

If Alex had said that she didn't want kids or a long-term relationship for ten years than fair enough.

But to say men are a waste of space is sexist.

I agree that there is a double standards regarding sexism with men and woman in general but this comment isn't really anything to cry about.

And the award for the biggest piece of Bull goes to....Dvialicious...Eddie Murphy was slated in the media for agreeing to pay child benefits to Mel B's baby but not accept her as his daughter or have anything to do with her!!!

Alex thinks she's made it already then *sigh*

Didn't anyone tell her just cos she's won doesn't mean she can start revealing her true self now the competition is over, she has to keep playing the game
