Who wins the best on testing . . . .

Click Link To Watch Tests

Thought this might help anyone thinking of buying one of these in the New Year.

Eh? Do you honestly think That's the way TV works. Additionally, one normally watches TV not listens.

I've got one Love it - I did play with the iPhone but although I loved the touch screen it didn't do most of what I wanted straight out of the box

Not very good tests, only the text input test revealed anything. All four phones should have gone through all tests. The battery life test was useless as different applications on different phones use different levels of power.

not generally but most of what's on 5 is utter garbage, if a show is any good it won't be on 5 as long as the gadget show has been, as one of the bigger channels will come with a wad of cash for the show.

and having now watched the feature out of curiosity from this thread i concur with others, utterly flawed reviews of all the phones.

Is it flawed because the review did not concur with your view or was it flawed by the tests?

*btw - I thought the tests were a bit crap as there are many other flaws on all platforms that could have been demonstrated*

completely flawed as the tests were horrible crude and down to the personal performance of the user rather than the handsets themselves.

not to mention factually incorrect, where have RIM ever said the storm is a non business handset

and while i would agree the touch screen on the storm takes a little used to, i have one as my business phone and field a good 100 emails a day on it no problem whatsoever.

You do realise that Five are owned by RTL, one of if not the largest media production companies in Europe? The same five that has the ability to throw huge 'wads' of money to actually take popular shows from the BBC and ITV.

I take it you've missed all of the sales media where they almost solely focus on it's multimedia and social interaction abilities. For example:

I've got a Touch HD and love it. It replaced my N95, which was also good, but after 18 months use was starting to fail.

True, but I think most people who have experience of all of the phones on show would agree that 1) the Touch HD has demonstrably the worst on screen keyboard by a country mile and 2) stylus entry is painfully slow on *any* device.

This is true, but the fact is a lot more people watch ITV, BBC and Channel 4 so it doesn't matter how much money Five has. I don't know what it is, whether it is not as creative or whether the general public perception of Five is it a poor quality channel, it didn't get off to a great start so will never probably shift that negative image.

I didn't think it was too bad. Definitely better than something Click could do, which is probably why BBC air it at stupid o'clock.

The implication was that if the show was any good then bigger stations with more money would pick it up. I was pointing out the flaw in that argument.

I know - you can type faster with a stylus - I've got one on my HTC (have not got the HD yet, but want one).

I must admit they could have done more tests though, but for my needs the HD blows everything else away (for what I want it to do anyway, but other people would be better off if with the iPhone they like music on their mobile).

I'm getting mine on O2 when my contract is up in a few weeks (can get them on O2 at the mo for free on a £35/month with unlimited internet, 600 mins and 1,000 texts).
