Never buy a plasma based on specification alone, always get a demo because you can spend a few grand on a right lemon

Pop over to the Plasma/LCD forum
here. They are very knowledgeable in this field.

Well from reading various forums, the best plasma would appear to be the latest Pioneers. There are 2 models, the 434 and the 504. The 434 is the 43 inch and the 504 is the 50 inch. The 434 is available now and the 504 is available soon. There are some good threads on the av forum site.

I have read nothing but good reviews about the latest Panasonic range (6th Generation/Series models) that have just come to the UK.
While a dedicated AV dealer will provide a damn good service including demos if you have a John Lewis department store locally they are well known for supporting Plasma screens.

Problem is there is no way of seeing a demo for it because its only sky who sell it.

I saw that one also. I was trying to work out whose it was.

As Jarrak says, you really need to see it though.
