Which do you prefer? Personally I prefered Cherie's as I could never see the things the Judges raved about in Rachel's. I actually also prefered Lisa and Brendan's aswell.

For me, Cherie's rumba comes out on top and I thought the song was incredible.

Without question- Rachel's..... I've heard many dancers say she looked like a professional in it- that's good enough for me!! Also, I feel like Rachel actually 'felt' that dance more than any other (bar her Argentine Tango), and that showed in her performance.

Yes it was good but that good? And her AT was that amazing? I think it was overmarked and to say it got the same score as Mark's when Mark's was far superior is strange!

Cherie's hands down. I never saw what the judges did in Rachel's Rumba. Cherie's Rumba was gorgeous.

Rachel's rumba was better for me. I loved Cherie's at the time but looking back at it made me think it wasn't as good as I remembered. It was early on so expectations weren't as high.

As for the AT, Rachel's was far more technical than Mark's but he certainly sold it well.

Like I say- I can only go by what others say- Brian Fortuna was very impressed with it I remember....
As for AT- yes I think it did deserve the same marks as Mark and Karen's- I felt it was more technically difficult and was also very atmospheric.... Mark and Karen's was brilliant also...

It's all subjective really- Rachel and Vincent drew me in like no other couple this series, whereas others were left cold.... Just like I didn't 'feel' anything from Lisa and Brendan's/Cherie and James' dancing, and others loved them...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.....

I enjoyed Cherie's rumba and thought it was very good, but Rachel's rumba gave me goosebumps...

Rachel's without a doubt - Cherie looked as if she was doing a Pilates class, also she wasn't focused in the face for me - can't even remember Lisa's.

Rachel's

Cherie's just looked like a lot leg streching and posing to me

Though I ended up being very disappointed in Cherie's dancing, I loved her Rumba - it was elegant and imperious, and her dress was divine.

Rachel's was excellent too, one of her very best dances, but Cherie's for me was the best because it was soooo sophisticated.

Rachel and Cherie both used their arms beautifully in their Rumbas.

Lisa's rumba dress was amazing.

Cherie's. I could see why the judges and the pros raved about Rachel's, the technique she had, but it didn't do anything for me. Cherie's was gorgeous. Loved the song too. I like clean, strong lines. That's why I also really liked Lisa's, even with that song.

Both were beautifully danced, but the styles were quite different and so it comes down to personal preference. I preferred Cherie's, as I prefer a more romantic Rumba.

There are some great descriptions of Cherie's Rhumba here - yes I agree, imperious, I would say elegant and stately. It was beautiful and I remember being very impressed at the time.

It didn't have the passion, drama and fluidity of Rachel's Rhumba for me though. For me Rachel's was more 'emotional' and it's one of the reasons I prefer it. I quite understand why people love Cherie's though.

Rachel's without question. I thought Cherie's was a solid effort at the time but l looking at it now in comparison to Rachel is like looking from an olympic athlete to a baby taking its first steps.

Cherie's was impressive but Rachel's was in a league of its own.

Cherie's. There was just something special about it. Everything about it felt right, I really loved it.
