It is all a matter of personal taste.

I enjoyed it and unlike many others i didn't like Toms showdance.

It would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Yes Endimoniada - she's beautiful and watchable, but the jive was not great - not enough bounce off the back foot - Brian outdanced her (as usual) - it was a good, fun, and entertaining dance, but it was not great.

I do think it's a shame we can't see her again in Strictly though - I'd have liked to have the chance to see more of her properly in the competition.

But yes her routines have always been a bit of a gamble - when they work they are great, but I've also seen some shockers (Paso and Samba being examples).”

How interesting.

I don't remember any of the dances of the contestants who've bored me.

I thought Alesha, Jill and Tom were all miles better. I was really shocked by Kelly's high marks.

Kelly's all about entertainment. I don't mind if she sacrifices some technique...and I'm not the kind of viewer who really appreciates all the subtleties of that anyway.

I'm not a dance purist but I know what makes good RTV.

Me too - though I didn't rate Tom all that highly, though I enjoyed it.

Lisa did exactly what she always does, knackered or not. I didn't see anything different in tonight's dance. But at least she was fully dressed this time and not showing her underwear. I find none of Rachel's dances have much impact, she's very bland and anodyne. I liked Tom's dance, but I just think Alesha & Jill were ahead by a long streak and showed what this year's SCD has missed - talent and charisma.

Kat from EE went out fairly quickly she had personality but was quite heavy. if you look at all these professional dancers they are all fairly slim.

If you're trying to say that Jill was carrying 'excess weight', well it didn't hurt her did it? She still wiped the floor with the 'fairly slim' dancers. Jessie Wallace went out early because she was a lousy dancer, bless her, not because she wasn't a size zero.

Did you mean Tom rather than Austin ?

Kat went out because she wasnt a great dancer it was nothing to do with her weight.
I dont know who your refering to when you say excess weight but if what others are saying is right and it is Jill.
Then all i'll say is Jills jive was much better then Kellys even if she is carrying a few extra pounds.

No i deliberately omitted Tom.

Aside from his showdance, none of his other performances have been champion performances. I found him underwhelming most of the time.

I think it comes down to personal taste.

Jill and Alesha are both very lively characters and I took to them instantly.

Rachel is more demur and takes longer to warm to. But I think she's just as talented.

I thought his quickstep was definitley a winners performance. As was his foxtrot, salsa and tango for me.
The thing i love about tom is he always looks like hes enjoying every minute. I dont really care whos technically the best i like people that can sell a dance and look like there loving every minute.

It's almost as if we have completely different interpretations of 'bored to tears'.

No matter...the evidence is on the threads...there's people who think she was 'terrible'...those who think she was the best and deserved to win...some are finding her 'unbearable'...whilst some want her back next year...and everything in between...and no shortage or depth at all of comment...as ever.

RTV thrives on the likes of Kelly Brook.

Although I loved seeing Alesha and Matt dance again I think Jill edged it for me. I loved the AS and was surprised to hear that she only needed five lessons to perform a varied and entertaining routine.
I was pleasantly surprised by Kelly, I thought she was very good and it just goes to show what Brian can do given a partner with real dance talent. I thought she was great. I thought she started off lacking a little confidence but the more she got into the routine the more confident she became. Again a very entertaining routine for me.
Also, it also shows that tall girls can jive (I know it's cliche that comes up often in SCD but I had to say it) and given that Kelly and Brian were the same height they seemed to have no problem with lifts etc.
I would have ranked Kelly 3rd and Rachel 4th but apart from that I thought it was a good show tonight.

I enjoyed the Christmas special apart from that awful Kelly Brook. That guffawing laugh is just so irritating. How the heck did we put up with weeks and weeks of that last year?

Yes, much as I like Tom - he is only really comfortable 'in role' and on his own. He's good then - some of his latin is good, for the same reason.

Apart from the foxtrot (not final) for me, he never seemed to understand the connection and beauty of couple dancing, and always feels like an actor who can dance pretty well. At his worst - a nine-year-old, showing off too much. (paso)

The dances you mentioned did nothing for me I'm afraid beanbean

And whilst someone like Rachel was technically superior, I also found her performances more memorable. She always managed to captivate me.

But hey it would be boring if we all liked the same!

I would say Tom was at least above Rachel and Kelly .

Every man enjoys every minute, but that does not mean our technique or performance is any good.Ask any woman

I'm not saying any of them are overweight all i said was Kelly looked more like a Dancer you would see on stage,

she has more shape to her as do most of the professionals you see on stages around the country doing the dancing.
