Oh not you again.

Nope, I know women inside out. And I've plenty of experience of just how misogynist women can be from these forums. "Simpering, fake, manipulative, annoying, princess, over-emotional" - I've heard it all sooo many times.

Alesha's very good-looking - but being mixed race you have a tougher ride in life than if you're white - racism is a reality for any non-white. I've already pointed out she was dropped by her record company & dumped by her husband at the time of being on the show. Plus she came from a very humble background & couldn't afford dancing lessons. Women can relate to all that despite the fact she's beautiful. Jill is likewise from a humble background & she's plain & a bit dumpy. She's the kind of woman any woman could have as a friend & not be over-shadowed.

Good-looking women like Kelly have an enormously easier ride from men - constant attention without having to work for it & a ticket to success based on their looks. It's that that alienates women. It's not that they want to be her or they fancy her (now ex) husband - it's simply that they envy what she stands for. Why Kelly & not them?

You hit the nail on the head.

He tries too hard. It's never come naturally for him. Too animated like a cartoon character.

Sick of seeing comments about Jill's weight, especially as she only gave birth this year. I think she looked great!!!!

Jill really rocked tonight - she's a smashing girl with great musicality, technique and verve - she's an absolutely normal weight - perhaps there was a misunderstanding

That's because he's a comic actor and person - who dances, not a dancer get on - he's fine, I know why people love 'im!

I wouldn't want to 'speak' for anyone else but I can appreciate an RTV character who winds up a subset of the viewers by simply laughing. That's a gift.

I didn't find it any more annoying than Alesha's 'Muttley' (i.e. not annoying at all) and the hysterical over-reaction was entertaining. It didn't test my tolerance at all.

I agree - and in fact - when the two couples were doing their simulatneous waltz in the final - Rachel actually looked the better dancer than Camilla. Her hold & posture were more natural. If I'd come to it cold I'd have thought Rachel was the pro.

I think Rachel and alesha are both much better looking then Kelly.
Im so fed up of people telling us that if we dont like Kelly (or Lisa) then we're just jealous of there sucess. Are they really THAT sucessful? Both went out with hollywood actors but so what? That doesnt make them someone to admire surely? Thats like saying all the WAGs shoud be praised since they're married to a footballer?

As an Alesha fan i never felt sorry for her last year. What was there to feel sorry for? She never went for a sob story she was always positive and didnt talk about Harvey or her record label dropping her during the show so unless your someone that read the tabloids constantly you werent going to know any of that. She won on merit and merit alone.

And i would hardly cal Jill plain.

Yes, about their personalities. What gives you the right to decide you know why they have those opinions, and that it must be jealousy?

Jesus, what a troll.

Is Kelly's laugh her problem or theirs? *shrugs*

I don't see that her laugh is more annoying than anyone elses...

Spot on Christa - over the series, Rachel has looked like a real professional dancer on several occasions. (Tango, AT, Waltz etc.) I would always have spotted Tom and Lisa as amateurs.

Whatever else they gave to the dance - Rachel, to me is far and away the best actual 'dancer' . Oh and before anybody says it - her 'performance' in all the dances after the rhumba was excellent, and from her heart, too.

To be clear: I didn't say Alesha had a sob story - I said that someone who has been through tough times is more easy to identify with than someone who has apparently cruised through life like Kelly or Lisa.

We are agreed that she won on merit alone. Although I'm not sure she would have won if Gethin had made the final.

I dont know who your refering to when you say excess weight but if what others are saying is right and it is Jill.
Then all i'll say is Jills jive was much better then Kellys even if she is carrying a few extra pounds. ”

Good Lord. From the sublime to the ridiculous. Jill was exceptional. As a genuine fan I've ignored every comment about Jill in the last few weeks except the one describing her as quite plain and reassuringly chunky.

I was looking forward to seeing what Jessie Wallace could produce on the dance floor but sadly her Quickstep wasn't very good and neither did the public take to her. Nothing to do with her weight or shape.

Tall girls/women can Jive and Alesha proved that.

Alesha's beauty is exquisite. Moreover she is a tall and statuesque woman. Her figure is hour-glass voluptuous in my opinion, and not a stick insect. And I can say that because sadly I am one and it ain't pretty.

Both Jill and Alesha are incredible dancers with that something extra that cannot be bought only sought. It cannot be manufactured you have to be born with it. Who cares what size they are? As long as they keep dancing I don't give a stuff.

Neither I think...because for all the protestations of some of her detractors, I get a definite sense of 'protesting too much'.

I agree with you that Rachel was by far the best dancer this series. But although she pulled her performances together - it's true that she's a "quieter" performer in general than say Jill or Alesha & I think that's why she didn't get the support that her dancing merited.

I'm off to bed.

I'm female, always have been. I'm not misogynistic, don't care what the likes of Kelly Brook & Lisa Snowdon do as long as they're not doing it all over my TV screen and spoiling one of my favourite TV shows. If they want to play the silly, simpering, giggly girlie all their lives, that's their choice, just as it's my choice not to like it. Doesn't make me jealous, or wish I was them or had their life [can't think of much worse to be honest!] it just means I don't like someone or the way they choose to behave.

Night all.

Babbling Brook certainly has mastered the gift of irritating people. Its the fake persona, the look at me and the I am God's gift attitude that goes with it as well that I can't stand.

And before people claim its just women who don't like her, I know a lot of blokes who can't stand her either.

Kellys been through tough times. She was slated for her role on big breakfast. And a lot of people have critisced her presenting skills in the past. Shes not had it easy either and is not as sucessful as you seem to think.
Shes not this perfect woman that you have her down as.
I did find Alesha easier to identify with but that was more for her personality then anything that happened in her career or personal life.

Whatever our personal views about Kelly I think that her performance tonight, finishing ahead of two competition winners and two series finalists, shows that she unquestionably merited a place in the Christmas special.
