Christmas music ruins the dances
Psychosis

I should love the Christmas specials more than I do. I know they're just for fun and all, but I'd find it more fun if the dances were to vaguely appropriate music. I don't think any of the dances were as good as they were when danced to different music. I mean, Rudolf? The Spice Girls? Whatever it was Alesha & Matthew danced to, it was absolutely magical when danced to Memories, but just ordinary danced to this. Shouldn't the spirit of Christmas be magic more than Rudolf?

Maybe I'm just being a Grinch

After 3 months of it, I enjoy the uniqueness and quirkiness of the Christmas special.

Someone forgot to add "Humbug"!

Some of the singing was awful!

It's one hour a year.

Wow, I watched it and yet I had no idea that it was an hour long. Thanks for letting me know

That first song was grim - but the girls singing later in the show weren't too bad.

I thought almost all the music was awful in the Christmas special such that it detracted from the dancing.

Particularly dire were "White Christmas", "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Raindeer" and "Favourite Things".

The singers seemed out of tune and frankly just made me cringe.

There are a few cds available that are strict tempo, both ballroom and Latin, Christmas songs which are quite fun to dance to. I just wish they would ditch the band and use all cds, like they do for Dancing on Ice.

I don't mind the Christmas theme, but some of the dances this year were spoiled for me by the choice of music i.e. Favourite Things, 2 become 1 and Sleigh Ride.
