Did she deserve it this time, or do the judges just like her too much ?

A deserving 30.0 .

Not deserving. It wasn't a bad routine but she is completely overstated as a skater. It was an easy routine neither as difficult nor as entertaining as Kyran's or Chris. Jason always said that he wanted Suzanne to win earlier this year, and in my opinion he was way too hard on Chris. I've never understood what it is about her skating that appeals.

i agree pink-i thin it was a very simple routine as was zaraahs but hers was undermarked whereas suzanne was overmarked-completely ridiculous having a perfect score for that

Zaraah was really undermarked for some very graceful skating. Suzanne a bit overmarked.

Zaarah had one good lift but not much else. Clare had the difficulty but got 4.5 for pulling a face Jason didn't like. Suzanne didn't have her usual difficulty. it all about evens out into the right team score.

I liked it, far better than Chris's who the judges blindly ignored his falls by giving 6s to!

thought it was well deserved... footwork was very difficult and she made it look so easy, lots of in hold moves and tricky lifts. The problem is that she made it look an easy routine when it wasnt, thats why some people probably think it was overmarked. It looked absolutely effortless, it was perfect, absolutely flawless and it was deceptively fast across the ice, well deserved.
chris tripped twice and got sixes, some judges should have gone to specksavers, thought his was no more then 5s. Kyrans was second to suzi. But overall i think the right team won.

You do make some good points. TBH I think it all depends on how you even it out. Suzanne's might have been foot perfect but it was the sort of thing I'd expect to see someone do in perhaps week 3 or 4. It just didn't strike me as of a professional standard of content which isn't really Suzanne's fault seeing as its Jane who devised the routine. Chris and Kyran's were fast and difficult and just exciting! Right at the beginning, Nicky said about the entertainment value, and the fact that they were more challenging routines made them that more exciting to watch. On a personal note I didn't see anything in Suzanne's routine that matched the difficulty level of an axle or an upside down lift. But that's just me.

The footwork was very complex, and to do it in hold was very difficult and trust me that was nowhere near week 4 that was final and beyond footwork. As I said the problem is that what the boys did was obviously difficult, suzannes wasnt, half because it was nicely understated (becuase we all already know she can do the flashy stuff) and half through grace that she just made a mockery out of some of the footwork, it didnt faze her at all. The boys was flashier but people confuze that with difficulty, fair enough as re the axel, but he tripped twice, so to give her a six and him not when the difference in difficulty and complexity and technicality (due purely to the axel) was not even with the two trips, to give the same would have been crazy. I watched it with a big group of people, half of which were routing for chris and still expressed shock at the sixes. Suzis was extremely fast, but she glides so its not as noticeable as when the boys go across the ice, she flew across the ice very fast and i think something thats beautiful to watch is entertaining. Just because something doesnt look as challenging doesnt mean its less so, I think suzi is often underated re her skating due to that, robin even pointed that out in eternal flame in the semis and karen has also said it before, she almost suffers because she can make it look a stroll.

doesnt suprise me at all

she could fall on her arse and tell the judges to pee up high and play with the steam and they would still give her full marks

It was, wasn't it? I don't warm much to her and I actually perfer to watch Chris skate, I find it more edgy and fun, but she is just flawless and brilliant. She deserved to keep her crown tonight!

I thought it was well deserved because above any of the others except Clare, IMO, they actually dance as a team. This isn't a competition where a pair of solo skaters skate the same thing at the same time, as Chris seems to think as he constantly tried to out-skate Frankie. It's a competition where two people come together as one dancing set and create a dance, together, as one. Suzanne does that. Others, such as Chris, do not.

Yeah, the marking was a bit dodgy tonight but Chris got 6.0's for falling about so she had to get full marks really for a pretty much flawless performance.

I thought Claire deserved higher marks, she was undermarked.

I agree with that. I probably would've given Clare 28 and Suzanne 29 but in the end it balanced out...

If they had done that though they wouldn't have had such a tight ending. It looked like they didn't want the girls to lead most of the way through on Claire's mark but wanted a pullback at the end. They even said Claire had the Olympic routine and she had the headbanger too. The girls spoke about sharing and concentrating on what they did best - Suzanne did the dancing, Claire provided the drama.

It all followed past scores too. Winners beat runners up who defeat people in third - not raising any questions.

well not quite cos kyran won the last series and champ of champs etc and chris beat him and I think they wanted an exciting show rather than just making sure positions were right, i think it purely finished that way cos the people who got the original high scores and came top are just actually better... I thought that as chris almost fell over twice, suzi had to get all sixes. But overall things did balance, cos I did feel zaraah was slightly better or should have been the same as duncan, and clare should have been a bit higher, but the right team won i think.

Yes but the marks were in line with the past TV results and Chris could beat Kyran because they hadn't battled on TV. The TV hierarchy was preserved. Agree it balanced out.

I thought Suzanne's routine was lovely.

Clare definately deserved better points, and what the hell has pulling a funny face got to do with the actual skating. Jason was well out of order for that. For me I felt Clare's performance had more in it than Suzanne's and certainly deserve to score more.

As for Chris Fountain he certainly didn't deserve to beat Kyran as Chris tripped up twice.

Rubbish makes it a joke !!! The men have to do so much more on the ice I'd like to see Suzanne do some of the jumps the lads do

I thought Zaraah skated beautifully last night, but feared she would be undermarked, as she was continuously in the last series, and of course she was, spectacularly so and ended up undeservedly with the lowest mark out of all the skaters.

I must admit, I thought Chris acted like a bit of a ****, in the way he was talking about Suzanne, and you could see when they showed clips of last year's final he had a face like a "slapped arse" when he didn't win, and the same again last night..but I so much prefer him to Suzanne, who's most spectacular moves are when she's being flung around by her partner...Chris's routines were far more daring and exciting, and ok, he didn't always manage to pull it off, but when he did get it right..he was AMAZING to watch. Ok, he didn't deserve to get all 6's, but then neither did Suzanne!

I thought Suzanne's routine was really lovely and well worth the highest marks of the evening, but I thought that Claire and Zaraah were both undermarked.

Chris was overmarked because of his stumbles and I'd have docked a couple of marks for Frankie's comment about "for someone who couldn't skate this time last year....". Duncan's routine was lovely but simple and Kyran's just lost that special something he had the year he won..........

It was nice to see Pavel finally skating with a decent partner after his turkeys from the last couple of series
