I was a Chris fan last series but he was just TOO desperate to settle the score with Suzanne last night.
he tightened up,made mistakes and basically gifted it to her.
Suzanne skated a safe but technically perfect routine.
the judges had no other way to go really.
Chris looked so angry afterwards which was a bit off putting.

He did behave like a brat in fairness yes

His obsession with beating Suzanne is making him screw up through extra pressure on himself, but Suzanne knows the beating of him now just remains in her keeping her normal form.

Me too. Although it has to be said that Suzanne could have come out onto the stage, soiled herself and still got a row of perfect sixes as she has always been the judge's darling.

Chris does need to learn to lose more gracefully though.

Why shouldn't Chris show that he's a bit peed off if he is? At least he's a real genuine person.. He wanted to win, he's competitive, whats wrong with that?
Suzanne ALSO pointed out that she was 'doing battle' with Chris but as per usual her comments are dusted to one side.
I'm pretty sure they get on well, its all good rivalry but just because Chris looked a bit miffed he gets moaned about?
Maybe, just maybe some of the other skaters aren't blind to the blatant favourtism on that show..same on all shows like it, theres ALWAYS a judges fave..Suzanne being just that, maybe the others would like a fair crack where they get marked for their efforts more rather than for NOT being Suzanne.

As for Chris' skating not being too elegant, to be honest, I prefer his skating style because he is so edgy & he makes DOI cool, people who wouldn't neccessarily watch the show could like watching him because it loses its cheese factor when he & Frankie are on the ice. Of course, its all down to personal taste, some look for & prefer the elegant skating style, & some look for something a bit different, but I don't think you can fault Chris for not skating elegantly, its not a rule really, its called Dancing On Ice, not Dance Elegantly on Ice.

Being a terrible bad mannered loser is whats wrong with it and showing a complete lack of respect to fellow competitiors. He looked far more than a bit miffed and there is no defence for his complete lack of manners... It is not a nice trait in anyone. As said he needs to take it more gracefully, like the other men Kyran and Duncan did. Kyran is an exceptionally competitive sportsman and also desperately wanted to win and he behaved like an absolute gent. Chris showed himself to be a little boy with his behaviour afterwards. There is no problem with showing emotions but you have to respect your competitors and he did not.
All of the competitors said stuff about doing battle and were being competitive, all of them! But chris was preoccupied with it. Chris just took it too far and was the only one who did. If it had been the other way around and chris got 30 nobody would have sat there. Sitting down when someone gets thirty is out of order, all the other people that stood were being genuine, and also showed they had manners. Chris on the other hand acted like a bitter brat and petulant child and it was very dissapointing to see.

Can I ask how old you are? I'm not trying to be rude or anything it's just a genuine interest in relation to your post.

I personally think he outdanced her on the tour when i saw it live. I went three times and each time he impressed me a lot more then she did.
But yes he needs to stop making it so blantant on tv.

I completley agree. He was the stand out star on the tour. I also think he is the best male to appear on DOI. Far better than Kyran Bracken. Maybe he attitude doesn't do him any favours, but I actually prefer him to cold, smug and irritating Suzanne.

I find him quite smug and irritating. Though i do find all the who ate the pies and reinforced ice jokes in the papers a bit mean on him...
What has my age got to do with anything?
I'm the same age as chris is

I just wondered because for me Chris' behaviour was typical of any lad that age. I'm at uni and I live in a house with seven lads. If any of them lose at anything they sulk, especially if they lose to me as I am a girl. They tend to take it quite personally. They all have massive egos and can annoy the hell out of me at times. But they can also be perfectly lovely as well.

Chris for me is a normal lad. He doesn't see it as a celebrity get together where he has to behave in a certain way. He is himself all of the time. Sure his behaviour was a little childish but most lads that age are childish some times. I'd much rather he was like that then pretend to love everyone and talk about how fabulous everyone is. That is one of the things I hate about these shows, the brown nosing. Suzanne is probably just as competitive as Chris is; the thing is she's is better at hiding it, as it Kyran. They are older and wiser and have more experience at being in the limelight.

I suspect Chris was far more annoyed at tripping up then he ever was at Suzanne. He comes across as being one of those people who are far harder on themselves then anyone else could be. At least to me anyway.

And just for the record. Last year I supported Chris, Suzanne and Greg.

For me that wasnt a typical lads reaction and im hugely involved in sports at uni. It was just a bad losers reaction. I think the others were just more gracefull losers, its nothing to do with being in the limelight. You need to learn how to conduct yourself when you lose, chris simply hasnt and he needs to. Most lads I know his age have. You'd get away with that behaviour as a child but not at 21.

Well then it's called a difference of an opinion. Must be lovely to be around so many perfect men. I'd be throwing myself at them haha.

His face when they shot to the people on the bench was so funny, a right miserable so and so, didn't crack a smile even while Chris Dean was clapping away all happy for Jayne and his losing team even though he so clearly thought he was going to win, bless. Chris Fountain should take a leaf out of his book. Didn't win, what can you do about it?

Chris is a typical young man - a show off who thinks he is best!

His skating is all flash and no dance - he is supposed to DANCE on the ice WITH Frankie and sorry but he just doesn't. He is far too busy showing off the fact that he can skate fast and do tricks and doesn't seem to see that Suzanne gets better scores because her moves are controlled and totally synchronised with Matt's.

Look at T&D next time they skate and compare what they do to what Chris does.....

He would make a great solo skater but he is too self obsessed to make a good pairs or dance skater.

But is Chris immature for his age, or just average as per maturity for his age ?

As a skater, better choreography and more time holding Frankie hand-in-hand might ppay off to add to his solo spots.

He is just a bad loser, you can be one at 21 or at 50, you just have to learn to conduct yourself properly. Im a female of the same age ( and am a very competitive one) and would never have behaved like that and would consider it quite insulting if people said that was typical behaviour for my age. No lad i know would have behaved like that either, they would have been disappointed but not sulked to the same degree he did and certainly wouldnt have stayed sitting when everyone else gave a standing ovation. Just being rude isnt typical for a guy of that age, i was watching with lads who are around the same age (some younger) and they all said they thought he behaved like a complete ****, I think they'd be quite insulted if you said that was typical behaviour of that age.
