Well Tom will almost certainly be in next years Christmas special- as the outgoing champion usually returns the following Christmas- look at Alesha this year- last year Ramps returned as he came to the ned of his championship year

Kelly was superb, Brian too, so was Jill Halfpenny. Alisha lacked her usual sparkle, Lisa and Brendan were just Lisa and Brendan, Rachel and V were great and Tom was rubbish. I think last night demonstrated the fact that he is not a worthy winner!!

Hey that is not fair about Tom- the public wanted to a winner who could dance and was an entertainer. That is what he is an entertainer. Rachel and Lisa didn't have that abouth them.
Austin also had it- but he was wrongly booted out to keep Lisa

I wouldnt mind that, infact I would like an alternative Xmas special which brought back some of the duffers we have loved and laughed with over the years. John, Kate and Kenny for instance just for a bit of fun.
The Christmas special has always included either all finalists or semi-finalists from the current series and the winner of the previous one so I doubt that any favouritism whatsoever was shown beforehand.
well they were always going to ask Alesha as she was the previous winner. And Kelly because of her pulling out.

Hasn't Kelly got a DVD out with Flavia? Maybe sales haven't been up to much. I was surprised that when Brian ripped her frock off that there wasn't an ad on the back of the
knickers of her costume.

Basically, I think they asked Alesha back because she is the defending champion and Jill because she is probably one of the best dancer's they have had regardless of what people say.
Inviting Kelly back was a nice touch. She may not have been able to carry on competing, but there is absolutely no doubt she would have been in the final if she had carried on - even though she was in the bottom 2 just before she left, the judges adored her and would have carried her through regardless ala Snowdon.
I suppose theres an argument for saying they expected Austin to be in the final so got three girls back, but then again, im sure it would have been very easy for them to 'drop' one of the girls for a male celebrity from yesteryear - Karen and Flavia were free, so they could have gotten Mark and Matt. Lol

I don't think Brian stood in at the last minute as it was reported weeks ago in the papers that Brian and James were vying to see who would dance with Kelly.
