Pip Schofield was his usual "shouty" self

I am fed up of Philip Schofield shouting over the whooping noisy audience, during DOI. I taped last night "special" and fast forwarded all the noisy bits (and the ads) and just watched the skating and I will probably do that with the forthcoming series.
SCD is so much calmer and quieter to watch and the Audience show their appreciation of the dances without being whipped up into a frenzy.

I really don't understand why he has to shout so much. Can't they just turn up his mic? He and Holly ruin DOI for me. It's odd because they're perfectly good on This Morning and Xtra Factor (respectively). I don't know why but they both become so irritating when presenting DOI.

I don't mind Phill and Holly better than Bruce Forsyth on SCD

none of that bothers me at all. I really like both Phil and Holly and think they work together. I agree with Wendy Woo, i prefer them to Bruce and Tess on SCD

To be honest, Phil's shouting doesn't bother me at all. I like both Phillip and Holly .

Phillip is incredibly irritating when he's shouting but I suppose he's just enthusiastic.

Probably the acoustics are different in the DOI studio than the SCD one. The SCD studio seems smaller and doesn't have a slab of ice in the middle. That and the audience could be why Phillip needs to be shouty. It doesn't bother me though, I think his enthusiasm's great

Is there a Voice Over Man for DOI? Maybe Phil wants his job.

Broom cupboard girl through and through here lol I like Philip!

Never been a fan of Holly's though... But I must admit she was better on what I saw of the Xtra factor than on DOI, when she got to be a bit more creative (and the powers that be weren't trying to introduce 2 new presenters in the form of her chest lol). She was better than Fearne Cotton was!

She did look lovely on the Christmas special though - maybe she is one of those annoying people that 'bloom' during pregnancy

Yes, I love Phillip on This Morning, and Holly is much better when she has a proper job on Xtra Factor. But he seems to think that the more he shouts, the more we will think "Isn't this exciting!!". Phillip - I can work out what is exciting, fabulous, stunning or whatever words you want to use for myself.

Phil is a God compared to Bruce as is Holly to Tess. They both have an alright sort of delivery.

Holly seems like a fish out of water though.

I wish DOI had a proper live band/singers like SCD rather than the 'taped' music played out.

Noooooooooooo! I much prefer the taped music.

First of all, I hate it when the camera goes away from the skaters to the singer when they have guest singers on the show.

Secondly, the singers on SCD are often not very good and with the different acoustics because of the ice, it'd probably be even worse in the DOI studio - even the guest singers seem to lip-synch.

Skating shows never have live bands. For me, the taped music works much better, but that's just my opinion and others may disagree.

I hate "live acts" for that reason, it can be difficult enough to follow the skaters and if its a group routine you often miss some of the skaters because the camera can't focus on them all!....with the camera panning between the group/singer and the skaters you miss half the routine!

not a massive philip fan but I think himself and holly work well together

They both get on my nerves a little bit as a couple (because Holly is really good on Xtra Factor on her own!), but I couldn't imagine anyone else presenting the show. Where would we be without Philip touching his ear, and Holly with her many facial expressions and high pitched voice when she gets excited? Plus, she's so obviously a massive T&D fan.
