Towards the end of the show, Did anyone else notice it? The look on Tess's face was priceless
Something along the lines of "I'll interupt you shall I...."

I noticed that... wasn't sure if it was a joke or not, but I got the impression he might have been serious...

It wasn't a joke - heaven forbid that Tess should stray from her agreed lines!

Both Bruce and Len really have been Grumpy Old Men this year.

She added a small comment not on the auto cue, he didn't hear her and he said 'Excuse me for interupting you' to her, very sarcastically, and looked grumpy and annoyed. Tess looked like she wanted to shove him down the stairs. Given that she covers for his cock ups on a regular basis and gurns her way through his terrible jokes, I think he should cut her a bit of slack really.

I sometimes get the impression these two are fed up of each other

Hubby noticed it too, he felt that Brucie was not a happy chappy at all. I sometimes feel Tess looks embarrassed to be next to him, but it's what she's paid for!!

I don't know what mistake/error of judgement Tess made; but that's the point, I DIDN'T KNOW any diversion from script had occurred until Forsyth rather pathetically decided to make a feature of it. I hear many comments from people reflecting on what a wonderful old-school pro dear Brucie is, but it seems to me that a genuine pro would have done their damnedest to glide over any error with minimum fuss rather than deliberately embarrassing and upstaging their co-presenter.

well they call brucie mr strictly but maybe its time to get someone a tad younger for i am just getting bored with the same old routine and how everyone is always there favourite i know i wont be popular with with folks for this post but if he was to retire who would be your choice mine would be anton du beck the poor bloke deserves to take over after all the crap partners he has had

Actually I've heard it before about Brucie, that he can be very grumpy behind the scenes with people if things aren't just right. He's been like it for years!

Exactly only Bruce can ad-lib according to himself. Well I agree its time for Brucie to say bye bye as he is doddery, doddery he is

I noticed it too, and I noticed the look on Tess's face. I bet she could have smacked him one. I don't know how she does it week after week, without wanting to put her hands round his scrawny neck and squeeze.

Silly old goat, I really do think it's time for him to retire, I really, really do

Yeah, I'm even bored of the thin moustache and wig.

Now Tess is expecting again, it gives her the ideal opportunity not to sign up for a new series if she doesn't want to. I bet she will wait and see whether Bruce is asked to do another series and then decide what she wants to do. She can opt out gracefully for the sake of her young family, and no one will be any the wiser. Really a lot of people slate Tess, but she has carried the last two series in my opinion and Bruce is lucky to have her to cover his errors.

So if its not John its Tess that people think hes having a dig at. I think people just missunderstand him.

Maybe his little digs at John recently arent actually jokes as he has shown what his really like by being short with Tess too.

It's at 53 mins after Russell Watson sings. I missed it too the first time around, but then I tend to blank Brucie out when he's on.

I am sorry to say that I am no fan of either Bruce or Tess and as far as I am concerned it is six of one and half a dozen of the other. There have been little digs at one another throughout this and other series. Who knows what will happen next year, I just hope they both get their act together, I don't want to watch them scoring points off each other through another series.

I'd taped it and fast forwarded and so I've only just seen it. Is that it? It was nothing. A small comment that was perhaps unnecessary but not venomous like people have been making out for days. She interrupted him and he made a sarky comment. Big deal.

I agree - IMO she can be a pain when she makes these little comments when he's talking but I don't think its worth making much of this. He was probably peed off and wanting to go home after the apparent balls up again with the judges scoring/voting

She does have a tendancy to make remarks that fall flat.

In the past I would have expected Bruce have made the point in an affable manner but he seems to let his feelings out these days, probably due to his age?

Yes. No doubt what she needs is a really clever catchphrase: "I'm not a waste of space; a waste of space I am not", perhaps? Something similar seems to work for dear Brucie.

Ooh I agree! I dont think that it was scripted - it was more Bruce's "what was that" that made it clear to me than what he actually said!

I've always wondered if the success had gone to his head - being rude to his co-presentor certainly suggests it has!
