Sorry if this is posted here before, but I've just discovered it's now on pre-order at amazon.co.uk: [url="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Strictly-Come-Dancing-Best-6/dp/B001MWRTWM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1230346062&sr=8-5"]SCDVI Best of Series 6[/URL, at a whopping £16.19 (one disc only).

Would you buy it? Will be become a 'bargain' hunter DVD selling at £3.99 after six months?

I wouldn't buy it. I would maybe for one of the other series but not this one. I didn't enjoy it all that much.

I'd buy it just for Tom and Camilla's showdance.

No. It must be extremely short!

Is this one actually going to be released instead of being cancelled like the series 5 one?

I'm not going to buy it. I didn't love the series enough to spend £16.91 and I can just burn my favourite dances onto disc.

Some of the good dances from this year will be on the second tour DVD as well - i.e I'll be surprised if both Rachel's and Cherie's' rhumbas, Tom's two final dances (although sadly not the showdance) and Jodie's waltz don't get dusted off for then.

If they come with never-before shown footage of backstage and training, plus interviews (and even commentary from the pros behind each step of the dance featured in the DVD), then I WILL buy it!

To answer the posters' query: Yes, apparently it's this series Best Bits, not last year's.

I don't think they'll do it. They haven't even decided on cover artwork and how hard can that be? I don't think they even really want to.
It's probably only really worth doing if they take the michael out of it. We can do that better than them.
Actually, I've been thinking about that...

I recorded the parts I want to watch again when the series was on, but even so I wouldn't pay £16.19 - that seems extortionate to me.

Didnt they announce there was going to be a DVD last year too and then it didnt eventually get done. It would be just typical if they did it for this year, one of the worst series ever.

As a cautionary tale if they do issue it if its like the dancing on ice dvd's its not worth the money, they dont even show the full routines and sometimes change the music due to copyright issues with the music.

However I notice some of you saying you wouldnt bother buying because the clips are on youtube, well if you not a new thread tonight, the BBC are removing the clips from youtube that our fine clip posters have worked so hard on.

If it was series 4 (2006) or 5 (2007) i might think about it.......it would have to have ALL the pro dances on as well though.

I'd agree with that as well.......the tour DVD has backstage stuff and interviews and is worth buying

I wouldn't buy it either , by far the least engaging of eries 2 to 6 .
Very few wow moments , too many couples and too much media hype and controversy,l fostered by the BBC for purposes of publicity , I feel .

I agree - although I probably would have bought Series 4 and 5.

If they had issued one for series 5, I'd have been first in the queue, especially if they had added ITT and training clips. Because there were so many characters in that series, it was the most entertaining
