Congrats to them apparently she's 3 months pregnant.

The child will be good looking judging by Vernon Kay anyway

I said when the speculation began that I bet she was pregnant...I don't blame her for wanting to wait until she told her family.

Sadly this means she'll have the baby in July time so she'll be back for SCD7

I hope she leaves SCD. She went through the whole series 4 of SCD without being able to pronounce the word 'Ramprakash' and surely that is not acceptable in a presenter. It wasn't her accent - it was an inability to decipher spelling or the lack of a memory.

Bruce aged 80 is able to perform this feat.

So there was some truth in the speculations, but I don't blame her at all for wanting to keep it quiet until now.

Congratulations to both her and Vern

I can't see any reason why Tess would not be back for SCD 7- but if she decides not to, how about giving the job to Kate Thornton, who did really well as host on the tour. Please God not Kerplunsky or Fearne Cotton

I'm glad it's confirmed at last - having just caught up with the Christmas Special I wouldn't have thought she could have hidden it for much longer!

It was sooooooo obvious for weeks!

The bigger boobs which seemed like they never quite fitted in her dress properly anymore (Especially the red strapless monstrosity one week where she literally had about 4 boobs) and the empire lines... The signs were all there!

Another vote from me for a new host then. Kate Thornton sounds good, and I echo, please, NO Kaplinksy or horrid Fearne Cotton. Maybe Zoe Ball would be good as well?

I knew she was when I saw her in the white dress a couple of weeks ago! It was more obvious in the Christmas special - the belt was missing!

I suspect Tess will be back next series as she's due in June/July time, before SCD starts. Congrats to her and Vernon, great news for them and the family.

I've no doubt she'll be back unless something goes drastically wrong (& I don't wish that on her of course).
Tess'll have a couple of months to get in a personal trainer to get the baby weight off & probably already has a Nanny for her little girl. I expect they'll get a Maternity Nurse as well until the babe is six months old, that's what a lot of celeb's & wealthy people do (I know cos I used to do it when I was a Student Midwife for a bit of extra dosh, as I was so poor on NHS wages ). They'll have no probs re babysitters I'm sure.
She'll only have to do prep Fri night & go in all day Sat's I expect & the next series does not start till Oct so she'll be fine.
I guessed too when & saw her boobs nearly falling out of that beautiful dress & she had a glow about her.
I'm hoping that Lilia & Ola may start to get broody too now, I keep hoping to hear an announcement. How cute would their babies be???

Yes, Kate is likeable, as is Zoe Ball. But you wouldn't wish them the " 'Dumb Blonde Side-Kick To Grumpy Old Man" would you? At least Tess is now used to being gagged (and getting a load of flak).

Many congratulations to Tess & Vernon
