She's alright but I'm not a fan. She isn't as 'punchy' as Moloko. Sadly there's a lot of people out there like her. By that I mean talent which goes unrecognised, mainly because they're into what they do and don't listen to everything the record label tells them to do. That means they get less promotion hence less success. |

she's not exactly flopping. Her last album went top 20 and she recently sold out the Brixton Academy. But I agree, a few hit singles is what she needs. "Overpowered" should be rereleased for sure.

Roisin Murphy is fantastic! I'm going mad that I missed her recent Cork gig, especially since I've had "Overpowered" on the car stereo for about three months now..
Absolutely love "Primitive", "Overpowered", "Dear Miami"..

Lots of great Roisin Murphy news recently!
She has both a baby and a new single on the way. Apparently it's going to be called "Demon Lover" (the single, not the baby ), and she's described it as "a big funky house track. It's a souped-up full on garage tune". Also, Roisin has stated that her 3rd album will be "quite gritty, it has a slightly London sound to it, it's a bit more urban and bass-ey than Overpowered." She actually previewed some of her new material recently at the SEone club in London, and some of that set has made it's way onto youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ucg-S2WpMec, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCOqB6Pc43Y Love what I'm hearing so far! In particular, the second song on the second link (about 5mins in..) sounds totally SAVAGE!!! (..."I don't have to feel your charm-charm-charm-charm, you don't have to break my arm...") I seriously can't wait for the album now.

Overpowered is a great album and was should of done so much better than it did do. My fav is 'Cry Baby' which she started to show i went to see.
Unfortunately Roisin is not great live, i found her show poor, she didn't interact with the crowd and her face tripped her all night. Don't get her first solo album, i bought it off the back of Overpowered it's not good. She did made great video's for the singles off Overpowered |

I adore her. Shes just one of the true musical artists of our time and is wildly underappreciated. Lady Gaga has alot to answer for.

I love the Overpowered album - I much prefer it to Ruby Blue. I bought the iTunes download because it came with Pandora, which is probably my favourite RM song.

Another fan here. Overpowered is one of the best pop albums ever. La Roux is having the kind of success and press that Roisin should have gotten off the back of that album. Agree about Ruby Blue - Very hard work is that album.
Oh, and she’s bloody gorgeous as well! |

She's brilliant. Also loved all the single and album covers for the 'Overpowered' campaign.
