that's a shame but i'm guessing the BBC's Videos of the dances are still there, but without the comments and scoring.

This makes me really cross. I live abroad and the only way I have been able to watch this series is thanks to the hard work of SCDANCING34 on YouTube.

BBC iPlayer is not available overseas and nor are the videos on the BBC SCD Website.

So just what are the BBC trying to achieve? If it's all about sales of a DVD I am pretty sure I will not be able to buy it here in the local format.

The BBC have made stacks of money out of Strictly. They shouldn't punish fans in this way.

I'm so sorry for you guys who've put so much work into your channels. I'm especially gutted that we won't have another chance to see all the wonderful pro dances. If the BBC do put a DVD out, I doubt whether they'll include the professional dances, which is a massive shame.

The reason maybe why they did this is because they want us to watch the dancing clips and itt clips on the SCD official website etcetc..
the only problem is we dont get the proper interviews etctec..

There won't be any underlying reason behind this. It will just be some jobs worth in BBC Worldwide Rights dept will have given an intern the job of chasing YouTube over the xmas holidays as they can't find them something better to do.

They are just upholding the (IMO stupid) law after all

I don't think even the "metoo" of seeing ITV release the dancing on ice videos is even enough to spur the BBC into action. If it were such a good idea, what about series 1,2,3,4,5 that never got done? The way the BBC will sanitise it of real gossip or controversy could render it as dry as dust. And it was clear this time the celebrities were taking this competition rather (too) seriously...

Mark and Karen's stuff is still there http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HjQPbF...eature=related

I do not understand the BBC - in previous series you could download the clips direct from the SCD official site using real player and anyone with a video recorder or DVD recorder can record the programmes to keep anyway.....

Can't you just make your videos private and just invite people to view them?

The difference is that in the case of the website, the BBC owns the rights to the programme, and will have cleared the use of the music with the appropriate rights holders for distribution via the SCD site.

On private YT channels, the BBC has NOT cleared any such rights and has no control over the distribution. So any such distribution is in breach of any rights agreements reached.

And of course, rights holders would normally negotiate a fee for any distribution, the wider the distribution the higher the fee.

The problem with making them private is that you can only make it so that 25 people can view it

Can anyone tell me the name of the site Maltipom used last year.

I had to wipe my computer and lost all the dances I had stored for series 5 and I would love to download them again. Don't want to use youtube as I have had a few viruses after downloading from the site.

Would it work by not mentioning SCD or any of the dancers/celebs in the title?

Someone could let us digispy users know the phoney title used

Bother.

Thank you for all your hard work, I really enjoyed the YT videos you put up most of which were unobtainable from the BBC because they cut them too short or were previous series. I will not however be buying any dvd, I only wanted to watch specific dances from this year, and a dvd will not have what I wanted anyway as it will be some kind of editor's idea of what I should be watching rather than what I actually want, not to mention not having the dances from previous series.

Guess I won't be watching anything at all now, the actual show started to grate (I hate reality tv with all that stupid arguing between the judges and the other surrounding carp), which is why I switched to you tube clips.

I think the BBC want this program forgotten, they seem to have some kind of deathwish for it the way they have behaved this series and this is just the cherry on the icing on top of the cake, especially preventing anyone not in the UK from seeing it at all. Nice one BBC shooting yourselves in the foot with aplomb again.

Someone who was posting DWTS videos did that and it worked. She also didn't put any names in the tags.

Sort of a basic question,but...are there other sites that people use to upload videos, similar to Youtube?

I don't know the names of them but I think they're all as (or more) strict as YouTube are

Does anyone know how to take files from Realplayer, and make them into something that can be attached in an email? I have some files downloaded from Youtube to Realplayer, but don't know what to do with them.
