Both my cats sleep upstairs in my room and sometimes they'll sleep on my bed or wherever else they want to sleep cos it changes all the time.At the moment my cat Charlie is sleeping on the end on my duvet and my cat Bella has started sleeping on the floor on a pink blanket.

Cody sleeps in the kitchen at home.
Paul sleeps in the kitchen at my OHs.
Tod sleeps in the conservatory in his little bed

I'd have them in bed with me, but they lose too much hair

She's meant to sleep in the living room, and does sometimes, but sometimes she miaows for so long outside our door that I crack and let her sleep on the bed with me and my OH. She does insist on sleeping on the pillow next to my head though, so I risk asphixiation from cat breath, and she wakes up at 5.30am and bounces round trying to get us to play with her. Oh well, it's good practice for when the baby comes I suppose.

Our golden retrieve sleeps either on the bedroom floor or on the bed at the bottom. Shes managed to work out that she can fit in the space between our feet.

Two of the cats sleep on my daughters bed to get away from the dog who sleeps with me and the other cat in my bed. OH sleeps downstairs on the sofa as he suffers from insomnia.

Our Cat usually sleep in her little bad that's on her scratching post thingy-ma-jig. It's like a square bed with 2 pedestals on it, it looks so snuggly in there with her blanket and all! We would let her sleep in with us but with a little one I know it's not a good idea so we keep her downstairs on a night, if our little one is away at relatives though she'll kip at the end of our bed.

Our cat (Tigger) sleeps on our bed mostly, or maybe on his big cushion next to it.

Lily, youngest cat, only had her for 4 months sleeps at the end of our bed by my feet. I don't mind her there, but my late Percy used to sleep on our bed and I used to push him over and say "go over to Daddy's side" LOL. He used to sleep right up in the middle of the bed on OH side, so OH had to bend his leg and Perc used to sleep in between. Now I could never, ever sleep like that, hence the moving of him to the other side! and Blackster eldest cat sleeps in my sons room on his chair which he sits on for watching tele.

LOL, reading these threads most cats and dogs seem to sleep in the bedrooms, and the cats are mainly on the beds!!!!

My dog (Sheena) sleeps on the bed with me. She's pretty well-behaved when I "have company", but most of the time I actually find her quiet snoring very soothing.

If I'm in bed alone then she sleeps next to me. If my son gets in with me he's too much of a fidget so she usually sleeps on his bed. Mind you a few mornings I've got up to find her asleep on the bathroom floor!

Q "Where does your pet Gorilla sleep?"
A "Anywhere it bloody well likes"

O/T My dog sleeps either on the bed, in the bed, (alongside the pillow) or on the floor on either of her beanbags when the mood takes her (normally when it's hot, not this time of year....)

She has three sleeping places. her bed on the radiator, the bed on the floor next to the radiator.

Top of my bed, or if she has been out in the cold at night, she can sneak under the duvet to the bottom of the bed where she is all toasty and warm and I find her when my feet touch something warm and furry......lol.

Patches our cat sleeps on our bed, Zeus our collie cross sleeps beside the bed on the wifes side, and Zara our rottie cross sleeps on the sofa down stairs.
Unless we are out then they all sleep on our bed. Some times when the wife goes out to work early on a sunday morning the dogs will jump on the bed.

One cat, Dexter sleeps on the bottom of the bed, the other, Henry, sleeps under the covers with his head out, on the pillow next to us. He thinks he is person.

Katie sleeps in the kitchen in her basket although when I come downstairs sometimes I find her asleep on the clothes that are on the floor in the utility room.

I used to let Thomas sleep in my bed with me when Mum and Dad were away with Steven as he weren't allowed upstairs, he would sleep either at my head or by my feet bless him.

Macey sleeps outside our bedroom door, next to her lovely cuddly lion cat bed. Never on it, though she will use it as a pillow.

OH won't let her in the bedroom at night as she attacks his feet. It's his own fault, he makes such a song and dance about it that she thinks its a game.

She occasionally trys getting mine, but I don;t react so she gives up.

On a Monday night when he's been to the pub and had a few beers I let her in the room as he doesn't wake up when she goes in for the kill, so she gives up and goes to sleep at the foot of the bed.

My little one sleeps in the bed with me, her head firmly on the pillow next to me or I usually sleep in the fetal position and she curls up in the same shape lol...she's so small, but she stretches out that much that she manages to take up the whole bed to herself.

Same thing here - our cat sleeps either on or in our bed but lately more often in than on!. When she's good and cosy she stretches right out - for a small cat she takes up an amazing amount of space.

I note most cats seem to sleep on our beds, can someone please tell me how an animal about a foot long takes up so much room ?.
