Cats use those four legs very cunningly and 'claim' every bit of space that they can reach. That's when they decide not to dump themselves on top of your legs like a ton of cement.

My dogs sleep in the kitchen together.
The cats sleep where ever they like. They used to sleep in our bed, but my husband complained that he always got the bum end and i got the cute end (they liked to sleep on the pillow). So when we moved house, he put a stop to it. Generally they fall asleep in the lounge on their blanket. |

Oscar, my puppy, sleeps in a crate at night. He's not even allowed upstairs alone due to his thieving tendencies and his intense desire to attempt to eat everything from magazines to underwear!

My cat Thomas sleeps in a box lined with blankets and an old feather pillow,on the landing.
We did buy him a cat bed but he's such a big cat (over a stone in weight) that he couldn't get comfortable. We used to have 4 cats but over the years, they have all died except Tom. None were allowed to sleep on the beds and they all knew that. I would no more let them on the beds than I would let my children jump on the furniture. |

Being cats, they sleep pretty much wherever they feel like!
![]() And if where they want to sleep isn't accessible, much clawing/miaowing/destroying will ensue until access is gained. ![]() The snakes sleep under their bark log hides in their tanks. |

My cat, Rosie and dog, Danny usually start the night on the bed, with much pushing and digging of us and each other to get the most space, at the bottom..
But at some point during the night they either get too hot, or too fed up with hubby and I fidgeting and come morning Rosie is usually asleep on the warm bit of the landing floor, where the heating pipes run, and Danny is asleep in the sofa, on his back, with his little legs in the air, having proped himself up with my cushions

My cat Penny sleeps wherever she fancies, at the moment it seems to be the settee in the living room, but I still have to leave my bedroom window open, just in case she fancies going out for a prowl in the garden

The dog and one of the cats sleep in our bedroom. They start off in their own beds but usually creep up onto the bed when we're asleep. I usually wake up with the cat on my pillow and the dog on my feet.
The other cat sleeps in the living room on his radiator bed. |

Our dog (adopted husky) was meant to sleep downstairs but the first night howled (only time he ever did it) and barked till we let him in our bedroom. Unfortunately he is not happy for ANY kind of contact between me and OH! I went on a holiday for 2 weeks and the dog waited faithfully at the front door for me and refused to sleep upstairs. This completely cured him and now he spends the nights downstairs in his basket, he does however sneak (noisily) upstairs around 5.30am and lies outside the bedroom door as if he's been there all night

Our wee Smudge has his bed, and his doggie cushion near the radiator in the kitchen/dining room, so he is in quite a large, vinyl floored room that is warm, and has absolutely nothing that he can get himself into any trouble with. Our living room onto the kitchen/diner is partially open plan, with a sort of half door/gate thing that we can bolt shut - so he is contained safely, but we can still hear him if needs be.
Mind you, he could sleep for England - we only ever hear him if a fox or something sets the security light off, and he can see whatever it was through the patio door. |

My cat will drop off in his cat bed until we go to bed then he will wake up and follow us in the bedroom where he will resume his hard earned sleep at the end of the bed. About 6.30am he will wake up, climb on my chest and start pressing on me with his front paws until I get up and feed him and let him out.
Throwing him off is no good cos he just climbs back on me and carries on

My rabbit resides in our double garage that's attached to the house. He decided to sit on a cardboard box one day, then when it was cold I put blankets on it and padded it out, then bought him a big pink fluffy blanket which he loves to snuggle in for bed, still on his podium.
Somehow I think mine will be the only rabbit that sleeps on a pink fury box?! |

My cats sleep wherever they like!
It does vary, from settees downstairs to my bed/ their own beds/ on top of the wardrobe. Anywhere really, where they feel comfy. However one is always consistent.. After half an hour of being in bed I have a cold nose on mine and he headbutts me for a couple of minutes - then snuggles up under the duvet with one arm around me, his face under my chin and snores until morning. I then have to climb over him in the morning to get up for work as he will not be moved. He's done the same for the last four years, without a break in his routine!! |

Our Cat moves from place to place depending on how she feels, likes the wooden chair next to the radiator at the moment but sometimes pushes the door open and sleeps at the end of the bed...However when she's a bit grumpy she'll spend it outside

My Belgian Sheperd Bobby sleeps in a cage (the wire crate things) on a night - she has been sleeping in it since she was a pup and seems to find it comforting - during the day and evenings she is qite happy sleep in her basket in the front room but as soonas we start locking up for the night she goes to the cage at the back of the house and stands watching me till i come and open the cage door to let her in - she then waits for me to lock it shut (if i dont she barks!)
Its not as though she young either (shes 4!).... |

My little one has finally discovered her cat bed - we've only had her (and the bed) for 6 months so she now (in the past week or so) sleeps there. Before that she slept on the bed with us, moving around throughout the night so she didn't get squished
![]() Even now she'll still come to bed with me, sit on my tummy and give me a "cuddle" until I nod off

All 3 of my cats sleep on the bed, they each have their own spot. One on my pillow round my head, or more often than not hogging the whole pillow while I'm shoved aside, another keeps my feet warm and the other cosies up by my belly. Occassionally 2 of them will actually get under the duvet too. They also always sleep on my side, never the o/h's

My bird sleeps in his night time cage (he's out on a playstand all day) in my bedroom.
My two dogs alternate between their bed next to mine and up snuggled up with me....depending how cold they are. They are fidgets though ![]() My two guineas sleep in their cage in my daughter's room.....one under a log bridge and one on a blanket on top of his house. They have two perfectly lovely houses but never use them, lol. |
