Our dog has his own little bed in our bedroom which he quite happily sleeps on for a while and then I'll get woken up in the middle of the night by him waiting on the side of the bed, nudging me with his head until I move up and let him in under the covers

And then he'll get too hot and make a big song and dance about getting out and going back to his bed.

This gets repeated about 10 times during the night!

Ha ha, I feel your pain, my two do this all night as well. They can't get on the bed themselves so I have to wake to get them up, as they sit whingeing on the floor.
Then ,after me being kicked in the back, having the duvet pulled off me and having a foot dug in my ear, one or the other will want me to get them down. This pattern repeats itself all night between the pair of them

Throwing him off is no good cos he just climbs back on me and carries on ”

Multiply that by two, and you have our two. Sweep will also squidge under the quilt and curl up on my stomach or behind my knees after the alarm has sounded and Sooty will attack her...

Neither of them go anywhere near OH - its me all the time - whenever I wake, there the three of us are, squished on one side of the bed... they are quite kind and allow me a little space, but if I move them too much, I'll get washed by them !!!

Ahh bless!! My two go beserk when it's time for bed. Custard runs up the stairs first and leaves Treacle behind. Once it's lights off, hubby hates my snoring so eventually goes to silence in the spare room, then Treacle and Custard who are now both present begin their great adventure of fighting and jump all over my head!

They settle down eventually and Custard loves sleeping on the washing pile on the floor. Treacle sleeps near my head and then begins her kissing and licking my face at stupid o'clock in the morning until I have to pull the quilt over my head and nearly suffocate until she settles and then it's big ZZZZ's and snoring (from me! LOL!)

Bella our 1 yr old springer sleeps on the sofa in the living room.
We were adamant that she would not be allowed on the furniture but that lasted about 1 day .
I trust her not to chew stuff or else she would be in the kitchen.
Shes not allowed upstairs but thats only cos she moults like crazy and i dont wanna sleep in a hairy bed.

Our dog has a bed in the living room, which she uses when we're in there, otherwise she sleeps in her other bed which is in our room. We were adamant that she wasn't sharing our bed, but she's never even attempted that or tried to get up on any furniture. At first she slept in the living room quite happily by herself but then, as she bonded with us, she wanted to be where we were at night so we had to get another duvet for her to put in our room

My cat is usually curled up on my bed snuggled at the back of my knees (I sleep on my side).

our dog sleeps downstairs in the living room in his bed. i like that cause i take comfort in the fact he guards the house at night so i feel safer.

My puppy Baxter sleeps on the couch in the living room - with a radio on low in the background! We even pull the recliner bit out for him so he can stretch out
And yes originally he wasnt supposed to be allowed on the furniture either!!Oh well!

Both my cats are back to sleeping on the end of my bed and are curled up next to each other.

My cats tend to move about every now and then. Aisling sleeps in the front room on the sofa, or in the front bedroom on the bed. Mindy sleeps down by the radiator in my bedroom, but occasionally comes up onto the bed for a bit of a fuss. When I am up and about, they both tend to sleep on my bed in shifts, as they tend to keep away from each other.

both my cats sleep on the bed, and the younger one, if he can get under the covers, he will sleep with his head resting on my arm. Sometimes the older cat sleeps on the back of the sofa.

One under the covers in between me and my hubby and the other on top of the covers, also in between us. And when we are watching telly they sleep on our knees and when we are on the puter they sleep on the windowledge in the same room or attempt to sleep on our knees there as well.

They tend to follow us round the house

Anywhere he fancies (7 1/2 stone Alsation) but never on the bed or furniture.

Normally in his bed in the bedroom or if warm under the window.

He has a bed in my computer room that he uses if i'm in there.

We have lodger at the moment and she's here sleeping in her bed in the computer room.

our kitten sleeps in her little bed which is beside our bed, but she does try and sleep on our bed. Or rather under it, she likes being under the covers. We're trying to be strong and not letting her though, we're just not keen on the idea with her dirty paws and so on!

After reading this thread though, it appears we're in the minority..

The only thing annoying at the moment is when she jumps on the bed at about 5am asking for some fuss... every night Hope kittens grow out of this?!

My dog Bonnie sleeps in one of two places - either in her beanbag at the top of the stairs or on my mum's bed, sometimes under the covers

Glad to hear so many cat owners on DS keep them indoors at night. There's a couple that sleep on our doorstep at night to get out of the cold, I feel so sorry for them. All they want is a warm place to sleep

both my cat and dog would sleep in my bed if i let them, but the dog sleeps on the sofa downstairs, and the cat sleeps on the windowsill or on a chair

I have an 8 year old westie called jack, when not out for walks he lies at my feet most of the time.
As soon as tv is switched off at night he danders of to his bed in the kitchen, not to rise until someone comes down for breakfast. Then all hell breaks loose as he wantes to play.
Could not imagine life without a pet around the house.

Alfie sleeps on or in my bed depending on if hes hot or cold. Mind you hes only a tiny chihuahua and I quite like the company now. I just shout bed time and he picks his fave toy and trots off upstairs.

I woke up the other night and he was lay on his side right near me with his head on my pillow, it was so cute!

My bulldog Benji sleeps in the hallway, close to the front door. Wouldn't want him anywhere near my bedroom as he snores SO loud.

I was changing my duvet earlier and before I got the chance to move it, my dog Lucy has made it her new home, I don't have the heart to move her!

My cat sleeps on my parents sofa. She sometimes sleeps in her cat bed but she usually finds a comfortable cushion to sit down on and drifts off.
