Totally agree, Bloc Party are the best band of the 21st century and are my favourite band ever.

Silent Alarm is faultless, A Weekend In The City has its highlights and Intimacy is a real step forward with the electronica dancey edge. They are one of the few bands as well who actually put time and effort into making brilliant B-sides like Skeleton, Always New Depths, The Once and Future King.

Kaiser Chiefs are dreadful.

Can't argue with that. Unfortunately, they haven't done a thing right since then for me.

Yup. Muse.

I'm my opinion they're just in another league to other british bands of this century.

Can I just say I was wrong? I disliked the second album and the subsequent singles so much that I didn't even bother buying Intimacy until a week ago.

To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. They've got their edge back and the songs are interesting again. If Silent Alarm was a 10/10, then Weekend is at best a 5, but Intimacy is at least 8.

God, didn't think this thread would resurface again. I'd like to also state that I agree with the person who said Bloc Party's b-sides play an important part some of them could even have formed other BP albums.
