Syncing videos to iPod nano
emj

Hi, having a bit of trouble with my iPod!

Got a 4g nano for Christmas, and everything's fine music wise and that's all syncing ok, and I have the latest version of iTunes (8). But when I come to put a video on, it just won't sync it. I've imported the movie, converted it to the right MPEG4 format, and iTunes will play it. But when I click 'sync', it doesn't seem to transfer to the iPod. I've looked at some tutorials on the Apple site but I can't work out what I'm doing wrong, whether some settings need to be applied or what. I've never had movie capability on an iPod before (previously had a Mini) so I'm a bit confused.

Any help would be great, thanks!

On the main iPod page (in iTunes), look under the "Movies" tab and make sure it is set to "all"

Really sorry to sound thick, do you mean on the left hand side, where it lists - Movies, Music, TV Shows, Podcasts etc? Cos I just click on 'Movies', and it's highlighted and nothing more.. I can't see where 'all' is

EDIT: Ooh got it!

On the left hand click on your iPod - eg. "Matt's iPod", it should bring up a page with firmware versions and stuff, capacity etc.

Then at the top there should be some tabs - Music, Movies, Photos, TV Shows etc.

Click Movies, there should be a back saying "Sync all movies" or something similar.

Great to hear, Apple really should give you a bit more than that "Quick Start"
