Nails! Nails! Nails!

I love my nails. Natural and long, hardly ever breaking, thanks to some excellent products. I thought I'd talk about some of my favourite products. What are yours?

Favourite colours:

Celebrity Bash, Rimmel wear max. Lucious deep bugundy.
3 times a lady, Leighton Denny. Georgeous soft pink.
Queens Park, Nails inc. Rich metalic purple
Belsize Park, Nails inc. Warm reddish purple
Russian Navy, OPI. Dark metalic navy with a hint of purple, great on my mothers short nails
Belgrave Place, Nails Inc. Unusual strong blueberry colour
Alpine Snow, OPI, long lasting for white tips

Favourite 'other' nail products:

OPI avolplex, lovely cuticle oils, smells delcious
OPI thinner for all my nail varnishes when they get thick
Poshe qiuick dry top coat. Totally dries nails in five minutes.
Pro-strong chip preventor kit, to stop my nails breaking
The Edge silk wrap with OPI calcium enriched glue if they do break

Just bought Diamond Rose, Leighton Denny. It lookes fantastic! A beautiful iridescent shimmering pink with real diamonds in it! I'm going to do a french with it with a single crystal on the corner of each white tip.

I have fairly long nails which are always painted. Normally a dark pink or red colour. They are crimson today.

Mine do break occasionally, but thats due to me having false nails welded to mine years ago. When i had them removed after years of wearing them my nails were wafer thin and in really bad condition. They are a lot better now, but still prone to breaking.

I do like to have nice nails though.

I used to have the most beautiful long natural nails with a really long nail bed. But since I got psoriasis it really attacked my nails and now they are thinning and lifting so badly that at some point I know I will lose the nail all together.

I keep them short and squared off now - still love painting them though. Currently a Jessica dark navy with a holographic top coat. I mostly use Leighton Denny, Creative and Jessica but if I want to try a new colour that I might not want to use long term I often get cheapies from Superdrug like Barry M.

What I am after is a really good gunmetal grey. I've not found one I like. At the mo I am using a black single coat and covering with a sheer silver to get that look but its not as good as having 2 coats of a single colour.

You might like, "baby it's coal outside" by OPI which is a rich charcoal shimmer. Ebay is the best price.

My nails are in pretty horrendous condition at the moment after being ill for the last month but usually, they are carefully cultivated with OPI. I never had nails until QVC introduced me to it. I can still remember the first colours I had in the TSV (Today's Special Value) I bought. I only really bought it because I loved the names

I use Nail Envy to strengthen then and then Avoplex to massage my cuticles. They then grow long and fairly hard. They don't tend to break, more shatter

I use Aveda Hand Relief as my hand cream.

I don't paint my hand nails. I use Barbara Daly's 'No More Yellow' (from Tesco) which makes it look like I've had a French manicure. Most people think I've either got false nails or had a professional manicure. It's really cheap as well.

My toes are usually painted with a strong OPI colour - I'm currently wearing Suzi Says Da! (although wearing off a bit now as I haven't done my toes for weeks) from their Russian collection. I also love Lincoln Park After Dark and I'm Not Really A Waitress.

Got a load of OPI stuff in Sallys in the sale - bargains!

Rimmel lasting colour does last long and is at a very good price, but I do like OPI's huge bottles. I forgot to mention two of my other favourite products. OPI's acetone free nail varnish remover which removes nail varnish without drying the nail and making them brittle. Their crystal nail file is very good too. You can file your nails without damaging them.

I bought OPI's Aphrodite's Pink Nightie today. I'll be trying it out after I've done the washing up.
