should i buy this lcd tv

im looking at the sony kdl32v4000 im planning to connect a sony dvd DVPNS708HB with hdmi lead and a thomson dti6300-16 with a quality scart lead will this all work ok

Yes, good deals available on this set & you can connect as you say, however don't go mad on the "Quality" Scart lead, £10 is more than enough; don't fall for the "Monster" con!

well i all ready have a gold plated ribon scart so no doubt use that seems fine on the dvd player now just got to justify buying the tv to myself now

just the screen size as i want to compare it to my 28inch crt

It's 32 inches, corner to corner - actual visible area (unlike a CRT).

They also weigh 19Kg (having carried 465 upstairs in the last couple of months ).

well thats good as the veiwable area of my crt is 26inches

CRT's quote the actual size of the tube, but in later years often also give the visible size in brackets.
