I cant stick brad pitt and i am sure you will think differently next time you go to panto or to a concert and they reason you booked your tickets and travelled loads of miles to see isn't there i am sure you would walk away and say hey thats cool i doubt it.

Actually I went all the way to Germany to see someone in a show and paid a small fortune for tickets and hotel and guy got injured and wasnt in all the shows,yes I was dissapointed BUT its showbuiss it happens and if you look at tickets I bet they said they reserve the right to alter show/cast etc etc.
When you book tickets there are NO guarantees you will get what it says on the poster!!

However, from what I read it was the theatre that didn't explain it properly, he was signed up for DOI ages ago and they claimed they didn't know he would be leaving. Sounds like they did to me. It also seemed he was genuinely ill and missed a few more performances than he should have, but I suppose if he was ill....

I'd like to hear his side of the story.

He wouldn't be allowed to just walk out unless it was agreed beforehand, doesn't work like that so they must have known. The fact that they are still advertising it also makes me think it's the theatre not being straight with people.

I've had this happen to me before and I don't hate the person in question. In fact I stuck it out and tried a few more times and finally saw them two weeks ago !

I dont hate Ray just abit annoyed with him.

Anyway, the article in the express is a bit contradictary, but his statement makes it clear he told them he would have to leave early. If we knew he was in it, surely they did? They wouldn't have to pay him if he broke his contract.

I dont believe a word of it, if the theatre knew he was leaving early why are they telling people he is ill when he isn't why aren't the up front about it?

This has happened to me before with other stars,and indeed with Aladdin,but I know Ray and I know he was ill,and illness cannot be helped!!

The theatre management is who you should blame as they should have contacted people to let people know of the situation,so if you want to blame anyone blame them,not Ray as it is not in anyway his fault

I was told the next day that Ray had finished early cos he wanted to do his rehearsals for DOI awww bless him.

I was told he was given £75,000 to do aladdin as he didn't complete his run has he given some of it back i bet he hasn't.

When you say you know him do you have his mobile number his address or his email address or are you just a fan who has met him??

Is Ray a definite for DOI then, or is it rumours that he left Panto early for that reason?

Quite frankly it's none of your business,and I think the whole thing is getting daft,I think you've just got to put things down to experience and carry on with your life tbh!!But just to clarify in last few weeks Ray has had flu and 2 chest infections,and has tried to work through all of them,but sometimes things don't work out the way you want them and you have to do things that you don't want to do,and Ray was very upset he had to leave Aladdin early!!

It did happen to me,I've said that!!Peterborough isn't where I live, it about 3 hours by train,and the theatre failed to phone me to let me know of the situation,so I did go up there,but Ray was ill,but there was no way in the world I would ever blame him for not being there!!Things happen,people are ill,that's the way it goes sometimes!!

And as for have I read the Peterborough article of course I have,I've written on it,and I said the same sort of things on there as on here!!Most of the comments on that article are unfair and cruel,so of course i've had my say!!

You really should start putting things into perspective though,and calm down a bit,your blood pressure i'll go up!!

How come you didn't know he wasn't going to be there if your a friend of his surely he would of rung or texted you?
maybe the theatre didn't tell you cos they knew you was his friend and thought he would tell you instead..

As for the messages on ET i think they are spot on tbh with you he hasn't made himself popular with his fans and has lost alot of votes on DOI
