Camilla Dallerup has hinted she will quit 'Strictly Come Dancing'. The 34-year-old professional star - who partnered 'Holby City' actor Tom Chambers to victory in this year's show - has indicated she may not return for another series. When asked about returning to the show, the blonde beauty said: "To be honest, I don't know. I was completely exhausted after this latest series. "

It would be nice to leave on a high, and let's be fair, if you win the series, chances are next year you are going to be given somebody with two left feet!

Poor old Karen is probably wishing she left after her series 4 victory!

Thanks for the link, McBrien.

I agree, leaving on a high point is always a good idea.

That said, I hope if she does leave that Ian won't go with her!

i hope she doesnt leave, ive never been a big supporter of her but i did warm to her during the end of the series. I think her and Tom were a really lovely partnership.

In other words, I want more money.

That's very cynical. Couldn't it be that she is actually just very tired? People on TV don't always have a subtext to everything they say.

I hope that its just that she's utterly knackered from such a long run of it and when she's had a chance to get some rest she'll feel differently. But if she was going to go then she's certainly chosen a good time to do it!

Oh I hope she stays, I like her and many others do too.

Her words do rather suggest that she's too exhausted to think of anything beyond those projects to which she's already committed.

Also, I believe after every series, the pros have said they're exhausted etc, and saying this has been a way of not telling people they're coming back until the lineup is announced.

I think that makes sense.

It will be a shame IF she leaves because she's been my favourite pro female since series 1.

I saw this this morning. I love Camilla, but the first thing I thought was 'Ian '.

Maybe this series was just too long....

I absoloutely adore Camilla, and I would be devestated to see her leave after becoming the winning champion.

However, if she wishes to leave by her own will, then I will accept. I guess it is much better to leave on a high, rather than to return and be given a no hoper, as Karen has.

But, if Camilla is to leave... Is Ian safe?

Re the 'no hoper' although Gary DID turn out to be awful, when Karen was given him there was no way of knowing he was going to be so bad, there was a chance he was going to be quite good, and lets be fair nearly ALL the men were pretty bad this year.

Camilla has had a good run of 'personable' men on the show, with only David Dickinson not being in the fairly young and reasonable looking department, she is more than due a duffer and in one way that would be good, stay in the show, eliminated early, so less tired and just group dances and work away from SCD to worry about. Unless there is a major shake-up anyway, I am pretty sure she will be back.

Oh i hope it isn't really because of vote-gate...so many of the pros apparently were disgruntled at Tom being in the final etc and so many people demanding money back etc she may wanna leave on a high perhaps winning striclty was what she was waiting for??

however, if she were to go would that mean that ian would stay and get a new partner or would he leave altogether as they are pro partners??

btw HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a good point actually. Time wise she has probably worked the longest on all her celebs through the series - James and Gethin both reached the semi-finals, Tom won the show. Did she get Ray from Coronation Street? He reached the mid stages of the series. Only david departed early.

And that would also let Ian stay in the show.

I'd take it with a large gallon of salt- there is an article on Camilla in the Mirror today- it seems to suggest she'd enjoyed being paired on SCD with Kevin Sacre

I reckon she'll be back

Yes, it is .

I wouldn't mind seeing Kevin and Camilla. Their Rumba would be interesting .

I don't reckon they'd get much training in either.

It is an exhausting schedule and Camilla is the oldest female pro. Also she has a dodgy hip which was aggravated in last years AS training with Gethin. Like she said, it does take its toll

Ooh...just had a thought, with the rumoured revamp this year, its possible Camilla's return might not be guaranteed anyway.
TBH, I'd rather James and Ola got the boot, I've never been able to warm to either of them. Brendan should probably go now too as his antics are just boring now

I wouldn't be surprised if any of them left - Teaching a novice as well as choreographing up to five dances each week for fourteen weeks must get tiring.

Time to cut down I say. Twelve celebrities, ten weeks, half-hour Saturday results show.
