DTR80 freezes if left to record over period of 1 week

Hello,

I have a DTR80 which mostly works very well. However I notice if I go away for 1 week and leave it on with a lot of recording set then when I get back it is frozen and hence some programs did not get recorded. This has happened every time I have gone away and left a list of recordings.

Is this a known problem that it freezes if left on for many days?

I have not eperienced freezing on my DTR80, however, I always put the unit into Standby for unattended recording.

If you have already tried Standby mode, I would suggest you have the unit exchanged under warranty if possible.

hmm no I dont put in standby. Maybe that is the problem then. I'll try that next time and see if it makes a difference.
