I am totally delighted Ulrika won.

The result has restored my faith in British Women and their voting habits.

.. OK, its an article from the Mail (yak!) but it is quite neutral with some great pictures of the final night :

Uli's on the front page of the Daily Star tomorrow.

Sunday Star

Obviously the usual Star piffle about "How I fixed BB".

Here's the online article

There is no interview with Ulrika, despite what it says. It's just quotes from her press conference, and things she said at the interview with Davina.

It's an old photo on the cover as well, you can tell by the length of her hair.

.. I've just won a copy of Ulrika's autobiography, "Honest", on eBay. There are plenty of copies there (77 currently!), so I guess people have been raiding their book shelves in light of her appearance and win on CBB6?

.. you can find more copies here :

.. .. and I've discovered some audio books of her autobiography, read by herself :

Message for Our Wonderful Ulrika.

I have been watching whilst away and I haven't been able to post on here but I want to leave a message for Ulrika if she ever finds the Forum.I have just posted this on the main Forum and I wanted to put it here with her supporters.

Dear Ulrika

Thank you for giving me someone to support. You were natural, elegant, witty, entertaining, beautiful and strong throughout the show. You showed solidarity with the other women even when you weren’t totally in agreement with what they did.

What you did for all equal minded women and men yesterday was wonderful. You are probably not aware of the impact your attitude had on the Great British Public. You managed to kick the a***s of all the sexist men in the house in a beautiful, understated and witty yet fair way. Your imperfections were endearing.

The men in the house managed, in the space of three weeks to:

Totally exclude women from their "lads" club.
Make staying up late a prerequisite for being a good housemate – even if they all looked dreadful the next day and fell asleep during the day.
Intimidate the three younger women causing them to get upset and want to leave - Coolio & Tommy in particular, were the guilty parties.
Slag off all the women and pat each other on the back in the most sickening way.
Display jealousy because you were getting more money. Terry and Tommy were the main culprits.
Display inverted snobbery because you spoke English without an accent. Terry and Tommy were the main culprits.
Allegedly accuse you of racism – Coolie did this and it made front page news.
Use the most degrading and disgusting language to describe all of the women, Coolio was the main culprit but Verne also joined in – the other men sat and giggled
.
You weren’t aware of half of this as it happened behind your backs. They would go and say most of the stuff out at the ashtray or when you went to bed.

A lot of us were incensed by the way they attempted to do a character assassination and the totally misogynistic attitude of the men. Tina tried to fight back but she fought fire with fire whereas you just used dry humour and witty putdowns - it was music to our ears.

Once again thank you! I hope it brings you back onto our screens once again. I hope the other women thrive and the men go back into their pens where sexist pigs should remain.

One last thing – it is nice to know that you galvanised us women but loads of men felt and voted the same way.

Dutch XXXXX

PS: When I refer to women in the house I exclude Queen Latoya as she was a surrogate man.

I'm a bit starved of Ulrika news - has anyone heard anything? At least I can make sense of who she is by continuing to read her intriguing autobiography - her dad's death was particularly traumatic, very difficult to read

.. it's been a considerable while since I've posted ANYTHING about the wonderful Ulrika. Well, just caught the tail end of All Star Mr and Mrs ..

Spoiler
.. Ulrika and her partner won £30,000 (the maximum prize) for Chain of Hope - a charity that support children with heart defects, something her child Bo suffers from.

.. more news in another few months time

I'm glad Ulrika is back in the house, loved her dry wit last time. I've been able to understand why people think she's boring, I think they just don't get her humour. She looks terribly thin though .

I saw people on twitter earlier wanting her to be replaced with Sam , I just responded that unlike Sam she doesn't need to resort to silly tricks to entertain and get a laugh.

This is silly but just her saying "good old ikea" before had me in a fit of giggles . Hope she pulls another surprise win, but there are so many of my favourites I'm supporting like 7 of them .

Ulrika to win!!!!! She is being destroyed on the main forum. I just hope the GBP support her like last time. She is too witty for the people in there - only Brian can understand her wit!

Ulrika is (basically) a nice person, but in a rounded, mature way that I don't think the other women have the sense or maturity to realise ... or, they realise it but have decided to marginalise her for it.

Nadia and Makosi seem to only like people who agree with them and tell them they are fabulous all the time - I suppose that can succeed as a short term strategy and that's all that's needed in there.

Anyway, I'm backing Ulrika (out of the women) and hope either Makosi or Nadia go this week.

Ulrika is getting a bit of a drubbing, particularly from VicNic in the nest.

I presume they are targetting her because she is a possible winner. (Brian is another target).

Ulrika seems the most sensible and stable person there.

Vic was asking her on afternoon LF 1.9.10, whether she knew Ian Wright the footballer. I had the feeling he was hoping she would say something controversial, but I also have the feeling that Ulrika is wise to his slyness. She said that she found Ian pleasant, and like many footballers, he does have an ego......

Someone on here has reminded me that Ulrika was accused of "racism" in her previous CBB. I can't remember the details but wonder if Vic had this in mind when he brought Ian into the conversation?

Vic is also prodding Makosi re. Ulrika (about having a "go" at her if she makes another "disapproving" face) and I am sure that Ulrika will be calm and sensible if that ever happens.

Ulrika or Brian for the win.

We have to vote Nick out because that will save Ulrika. I think Makosi is a gonner so lets vote Nick for the double eviction.

I really like Ulrika. Brian`s my favourite though. I want Ulrika in the final. The 3 witches don`t like her because she`s a real celebrity. They`re acting like divas & Ulrika is just being normal, not going for airtime. They`re just jealous. I voted for Ulrika to win CBB.

I really like Ulrika. I think she's honest and she doesn't bullshit with people. She's also got a cutting (but not cruel) sense of humour and she doesn't mind other people making jokes at her expense. Most people seem to dislike her and she will probably be first out on Friday. I think she's the most honest person in there. Most of the others are holding back.
