Moral Dilemma
Rachelbaby

I recently upgraded my phone with Carphone Warehouse.

I was excited with my new phone and got twice as many minutes for being a loyal Orange customer.

I was told that my new tarif would come into effect on my next billing date.
On that day I checked my minutes and realised that I had the same amount as usual. I called CS who told me that my upgrade had not gone through.

So now, my dilemma is this: According to Orange CS there is nothing physically stopping me from going back to Carphone Warehouse and upgrading AGAIN and obtaining ANOTHER beautiful E71.

I have always believed in Karma and like to try to do the RIGHT thing (ie, take it back and inform them of their mistake) but I'm also pretty p****d off that I've lost out on all those minutes and surf time.

What would YOU do?

If you need to ask , you know its wrong to upgrade again

Sit on it for a short while - are you sure they won't figure it out somewhere along the line and bill you retrospectively.

Afterwards, I think go and get another E71, think of it as good karma coming to fruition. Then, to balance it out, go and do something good e.g. go and feed some homeless people or something.

Effectively then CPW have paid for some charity and you are neutral.

Disclaimer: the above is wrong and you shouldn't do it.

I did consider that they may figure it out eventually as I HAVE actually signed a contract.

I do love your sense of justice and balance though...

I think I'll definitely sit on this one till next billing date

But just imagine if you are in the shop, in then middle of doing it and they turn around and say, loud so everyone can hear, how the computer now says your upgrade did go through? Might be embarassing....
