Hi - just a quick question, my sister has come home from Currys tonight and has bought this LCD without letting me know, could have advised her on a better make!
cost her £199.99 with built in DVD player

can anyone tell me there is ANY 19" LCD with an EPG Program Guide that lets you see a big list of channels on the screen at once, like most FREEVIEW boxes?
this way you are able to see whats on, most of these sized LCD`s have an annoying feature where you can only see whats on for each individual channel on the screen at once!
she is taking the thing back tomorrow as she is so disappointed with her purchase, i was looking at either of these 2 models and then getting her a cheap DVD Player for £25 to link it up with, anyone got one of these LCD`s?

I'm after the same kind of info too. After my problems with the TV/DVD/Ipod I am giving up on the multi-function, just need a decent TV with built-in Freeview. I have also noticed on the 19" one I got that the EPG does not allow you to actually select the channel you want from it, it just sets reminders. My 32" LCD TV allows you to select the channel you want from the guide..... That's what I want the 19" one to do..........

I would also like to go bigger than 19" if possible, maybe 20" or 22" ? However I am restricted to the total height (including the stand) of 44cm absolute maximum.

Any advice gratefully received !

I bought a samsung LE19R88BD for the kitchen last christmas. Cost around £179 but i cant seem to find it on the dixons website any longer!

For the price im quite happy. It has built in freeview and from memory i think i can recall it does have an EPG function. We use a Freesat box with it via HDMI so cant really comment on the freeview function. However decently upscaled content does look quite nice (especially from average viewing distance). Built quality is pretty good along with viewing angle.

Would recommend!
