NEIL Lennon and Ally McCoist have united the Old Firm - by backing their pal Tommy Sheridan in Celebrity Big Brother.
The football stars are among a host of Scottish celebs being lined up by Sheridan's supporters to back him on TV and in the press.
Rangers hero McCoist and Tommy, who had to don a Status Quo-style wig for the pop band task in the house, played football together in the celebrity Dukla Pumpherston side.
Celtic coach Neil Lennon has also met Tommy at charity events and has agreed to provide a message of support on Sheridan's web page.
Movie star and director Peter Mullan and Gangs Of New York star Gary Lewis are also backing him.
Veteran socialist Tony Benn has already expressed his support for Tommy, phoning wife Gail last week to back him.
A spokesman for Tommy said: "At the moment, he is doing well and only received one nomination for eviction.
"If that changes, we have lined up a few big names to appear on Channel 4 shows such as Big Brother's Big Mouth to give him support.
"They'll also give messages of support for him on Tommy's webpage."
Last night, Gail said: "Tommy knows both Ally and Neil, he's very friendly with both of them. It's cracking of them to do this."
In the house, normally placid Tommy lost the rag, branding Ulrika a "pain in the "f****** a***".
The former MSP lashed out at the Swede because of her rumoured dislike of Terry Christian.
During a chat with Verne and Terry, he said Ulrika was getting on his "t***", before calling her a pain.
Yesterday, the housemates nominated and will find out who is up for eviction in tonight's show.
It should have been two but Mutya quitting on Friday night means that only one will be evicted.
A further two housemates are due to be evicted on Wednesday.
