Clare Chambers has apparently moaned to the papers that she thinks the judges were unfair/harsh to Tom; when Craig gave him (Tom) 6 (or 7) for his "beautiful waltz" she wanted to go across the floor and slap him!!!! And she didn't like that Len tried to make Tom & Austin rivals, but saying Tom didn't have to worry, that he was "right up there with Austin...." (Sorry if the words aren't quoted exactly, but they're near enough.)

How totally pathetic/childish can some of these people get?

I thought she seemed bewieldered, if anything, by the Tom/Austin rivalry issue. Many people here weren't keen on it.

I agree, and throughout the series it looks as if Clare became more famous than Tom even though he was the one participating in the competition!

I am not a Tom fan, but quite enjoyed reading this; it's a fairly innocent report from 'behind the scenes'. I really don't think you can construe Clare's comments as 'moaning'.

I do suspect, though, that she is perhaps hoping to capitalise on their newfound fame herself; maybe she sees it as a springboard to a more prominent media career than she currently has. She has certainly been very happy to do various photoshoots, joint interviews (OK et al) etc with Tom. Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course, but it would explain her willingness to talk to the press.

I didn't read anything particularly exciting, sensational, shocking, provocative, etc., and if I were in her place and was offered say £50,000 to produce that simple diary, I wouldn't say no. Would you?

Have you ever been near a bride approaching their wedding day, generally they have no other topic of conversation, I though Clare made very little of it.
