Well, 20 minutes left.

Been good so far.

Notice the milk man? An echo from the past, as was promised. (There always used to be a Milk and Post Man in Brookie during its earlier years).

Phil is yet to make an appearance.

From what I saw it looked like two guys took him on, they had a noose, and tape ready. Too professional considering the target was armed. Nah, that was 100% Barry Grant. Everyone is acting like they did it because they all wanted to have a go at him.

I bet they all went down the pub.

Katie, Sammy and Nic - Last featured in September. Think we can assume they've had an off screen exit.

Max and Jacqui moved house around April/May. Jacqui still makes the odd appearance, she was in last week.

Mike and Rachel are splitting up. As of last week, Rachel is living in a flat, no idea about Mike.

Thanks Chris I am sad to see it go, used to watch it religiously for about 10 years. By the way what is Nikki wearing right now!?!

Oh no! I really wanted Tim and Nikki to get together there, he should have leaned in and kissed her!

Im actually disappointed. I was expecting something a lot better than that for the final episode... then again, its been going down hill for ages so guess it was too much to ask for.

Fantastic ending....

Would've been nice to see Jimmy set fire to No.10, but it leaves the way open for the DVD issues I guess.....

Shame it's gone though. Definitely one of the better soaps, much better than Corrie or 'stenders....

Loved the "Grange Hill" touch at the very end as well!!!!

R.I.P Brookie......

Quite a poignant ending with Jimmy painting the letter 'D' at the end of the sign with Brookside Close on it.And that speech was pure Phil Redmond wasn't it?

Bit of an anti climax though......the show had become virtually unrecognisable from the brilliance of the 80's and mid 90's.

I actually thought Jimmy and Nikki made the better (and more realistic) couple.I was hoping she'd head off into the sunset with him

Amazing that none of them featured in the final episode.....there were too many strangers for my liking.

Aww, Bye Bye Brookie. I started blubbin when Nicki and Tim were having a cuddle and reminiscing about Emily.

As someone else has said, i would've liked to have seen more regular cast members in the episode, namely, Katie and Sammy, Jacqui and Max, and Mike and Rachel?

Didn't see Phil Redmund. Was he in it or not?

End of an era indeed. It's the longest show I've watched from start to finish. Top marks all round. Didn't get the GAME OVER, but loved the BROOKSIDE CLOSED!

CALM DOWN - CALM DOWN!

Jimmy or Tim and Ste could easily have a spin off series.

Rudi

Gone but not forgotten.
